I received a mini tube of this polish with the Nars Walk on the Wild side set. Its packaged in the same manner as the full size, with the signature Nars matte black lid and Nars printed on the bottle.
The shade Black Violet is an intense luminous purple in the bottle, but almost looks like a deep navy in some lights when on the nails. It applied easily and extremely opaque- often dark colours can be patchy and sheer, not so with this one. I applied two coats, but even one coat gave a beautiful cover across the nail. I finished it with the Revlon gel top coat.
This has lasted brilliantly on my nails with no chipping or peeling. I think the biggest advantage to this polish compared to cheaper brands is how pigmented it is- no other brands I have tried give me an opaque finish with no streaking when using such a dark colour. I think if you were time poor, and were after some notoriously hard to apply shades (super dark or white polish) then you could justify the extra expense of Nars polishes over other brands. Otherwise I would not be inclined to buy full size versions of this polish.
