I had heard amazing things about this foundation and at the price tag I am glad it lived up to the hype! After saving up and taking the plunge I was surprised with how much I loved the product.
Being quite pale with yellow tones I found it hard to find foundations that were light enough and not pink based! I had been through the range of drugstores and after much frustration tried looking at bigger brands.
I love NARS Sheer Glow as the shade selection is HUGE! The cater for all skin tones and shades and the match was perfect. It is a light to medium coverage but I find this fantastic for everyday wear, it is easy to apply I find it best with a damp beauty blender or your hands (as I was recommended to use by the girls at Mecca.)
The finish is dewy but I find it just gives a healthy glow, and looks quite natural. It is very easy to blend and works well with or without a primer. I do find it does tend to get a bit patchy where my glasses sit but I just take that with the glasses-wearer territory. Any tips on how to prevent/reduce that is much appreciated!
Have purchased again and love it!
Surprisingly this foundation, even though it is designed to be ultra dewy with a glow from within look suits most skin tones, having tried it on myself personally with combination skin it doesn't become an oily mess but holds fast for the better part of the day, with the addition of a good primer and setting powder this has that perfect dewy finish. Also have used on dry skin which it is magic on, dewy without becoming cakey on those dry patches, as well as on oily skin which is normal a no no but with a good primer and settiing again this too settles lovely on the skin for a perfect dewy look, however I wouldn't recommend it for all day way for our oily peeps, as for photoshoot and short events it holds up but does break down faster on those skin types.
As always with NARS the quality is the highest, it doesn't patch or split, it glides on with the smallest amount of effort with either a stippling brush or beauty blender depending on your skin type. And comes in a huge variety of shades so you can find that perfect hue to suit you.
A little goes a long way and I find that is the norm for NARS with their foundations lasting almost 2 years without replacement being required or breaking down within the bottle, so for the price tag you are getting what you pay for.
