I really do love this foundation. It has great coverage and a beautiful finish that is glowy but doesn't leave me looking oily. Lasts pretty well if an appropriate primer and setting powder is used. Really good shade range as always from Nars.

After hearing about this foundation for years by almost every beauty blogger, magazine, and makeup addict friend, I finally decided last year to take the plunge and fork out what I believe was around $80 for this foundation in the shade deauville.
Frankly, this may have been the best $80 I have ever spent on makeup.
I have found that this foundation makes my skin look like my skin, but with an instagram filter. It feels light, is easy to apply and feels natural. I personally only use one pump for a sheer-medium coverage, but I have heard that it can be built up for a fuller coverage. In summer/heat I have found that the foundation lasts 4-6 hours of sweaty day time, but that in winter the foundation quite often lasts me all day, with a few touch ups here and there.
Tips: I use a Real Techniques buffer brush to apply my foundation and the Rimmel Stay Matte powder after application and during the day when needing a touch up.
I got this bad boy as part of my Superhero mystery shop from the Mecca website. It was $74. At first I scoffed at the price, kinda hoping that I wouldn't love it because of the price but this was not the case.
I went through the painful process of getting my colour match perfectly right. In the end I came to the colour of Sante Fe which is a warm neutral beige colour with a pink undertone. For $74 I kind of expected the bottle to be bigger.
The foundation itself is quite a runny consistency but it isn't too runny that it will run off the brush or sponge. The shade is actually quite light compared to that pictured on the site which is annoying. I could have gone for a slightly darker shade because this colour washes me out a tad.
Despite the mess up in the colour, I needed to see what the huge hype up about it was. The foundation blends in well with a sponge and with a brush but I prefer to use a sponge to have the flawless look. The coverage is quite amazing really. I can go all day and not have to worry about it running off my face, even in the heat!
There is one complaint I have with this. It tends to cling to any tiny dry patch I have on my face. Instead of hiding it like it should, it puts it on show for all to see. Lucky for me I manage to cover it up with concealer over top and a finishing powder.
My skin looks flawless after use. It doesn't make my skin oily or appear like I have caked on makeup. It evens my tone out and hides any redness on my cheeks that I have. It makes a perfect canvas for any other makeup I may put on over top with the exception of the dry patches.
In summary, my skin looks fab (on the most part), it covers most imperfections, it lasts all day long. What more could I want out of a foundation? I am hooked and that $74 doesn't seem so outlandish now considering how much I love it.
Tips: Use a setting or finishing powder.
After heard lots of reviews regarding of this nars sheer glow foundation I thought I should try this baby. I love to hear and say "it's nars sheer glow". I bought from Mecca Nz website. That customers service is freaking awesome I must say. I gave her my current foundation colour and she came with conclusion via mail and also sent me some my close foundation shade to try on my face. I use that sample for one week so I get idea " should I purchase or not?"
I did purchased and it's cost me 79$ for 30ml bottle which is pretty standard. Bottles has not pump so I don't like it but I survived without and I learned how to talk out foundation without pump....lol. It foundation is literally awesome. I bought shade called Barcelona for winter ( just for reference I Mac nc42)
Nars brand claim that it's buildable, lightweight, flawless, natural glow ( glow doesn't mean like highlighter glow), immediately hydration and skin looks brighter that claim is absulately true. Thi foundation is for Normal to dry skin so who has oily skin I don't recommend. My skin get dry in winter time so it perfect but personally I wouldn't use it in summer because my skin get oily in summer.
Two things I really don't like it first one bottle has no pump because I prefer pump. However if I minuse that point then other thing is foundation has no lasting power. Literally after 6 hour foundation get disappear. If foundation provides long lasting power that I would put this foundation on top my favourite foundation. Oh sorry I forgot to tell you that this foundation has really liquidy consistently so works good underneath eyes which is unusual. I found this foundation work really well with buffing brush instead of sponge this totally my personal preference. Hope I cover everything here. I would repurchase again because there has feather light on skin.
Brought on because of all the great reviews from youtubers! When I first tried it I did feel it sat patchy in my skin MY when I started using my warm hands and then a beauty blender after I felt it sunk in and sat beautifully! So radiant, lasts the whole day!
I love this foundation, it makes my skin look flawless and blends wonderfully. I have acne scars so I generally prefer a very full coverage foundation, I can definitely layer this foundation up to a full coverage without looking cakey at all. The downfalls the price, although I think it's definitely worth the splurge if you can afford it, and a downfall for me is that the lightest shade Siberia is slightly too dark for me (VERY slightly, but I notice it easily) but the neautral, slightly more yellow tone matches my undertones very well.
Tips: Layering this foundation can achieve a full coverage foundation without making you look cakey.
With Stila primer, this foundation is sooo beautiful.. I absolutely love it! But with some of my other primers, it doesn't look as good. When my skin is super dry, this foundation tends to look cakey, even though it's meant to be for dry skin! Regardless, I do really like this foundation and it is my go to high-end foundation
This is my holy grail foundation, I love it so so much! It is a bit pricey, but I find it lasts really well and you don't need a lot for decent coverage. I use the shade Santa fe, Gives medium coverage and evens out my skin tone beautifully. It blends out soooo easily and never goes patchy even on days when I'm feeling lazy and neglect the primer step. I love that it has a slightly dewy finish to the skin I always feel so much younger when I wear it haha!! The glass packaging is really pretty, it doesn't come with a pump but they are only an extra $5 and I highly recommend getting one for ease of use.
This foundation is my new go to!! I'm not the greatest with makeup and I am still learning the tips and tricks on how to achieve the perfect look but this is amazing. The only high end product that I will invest in now and I won't choose anything else. It's not super full coverage but you're able to build it up which is good! Gives me such a flawless look and stays on the whole working day without setting spray!
Tips: Use it sparingly! Make sure you've got a good powder to set it with!
I had my eye on this foundation for a long time, it was on the top of my want list but because of the price I never purchased it.
It wasn't until I was in Sephora and I saw the formula for myself, the lady used the back of my hand to apply some foundation and it just merged with my skin. I was SOLD. 2 minutes later I was the proud owner (finally) to Nars Sheer glow. Also I found the color selection for medium skin tones to be incredible, I had never seen so many choices for us medium skinned ladies.
I have normal to combination skin, my forehead can get slightly oily towards the end of the day so I was interested in how this would work with my skin.
I didn't purchase a pump when I brought this so when I use this foundation I just tip it on the back of my hand. The foundation was filled all the way to the top which was very impressive.
I found it very easy to apply to my face, it was easy to buff into the edges of my nose. I did see that it didn't layer very well, if you add too much the product would slide around on your face. You can add one decent layer which gives you a medium coverage. You can apply this lightly to give you a natural look too.
This foundation gives a beautiful gleam to your skin, I love how it makes your skin look when its first applied, I use setting spray to set the foundation as I find powder makes it matte.
After 4-5 hours of wear time this foundation makes it look like Im literally sweating on my face, this is the time I use a bit of powder to get some of that shininess away. A few hours after that I need to remove it as it looks messy. It moves my contour and everything feels like its sliding down south. So if I use this foundation I make sure Im only wearing it for a short amount of time.
I would not recommend this to people with oily skin. I like to wear this as a light coverage foundation. I dont think I will repurchase after I have used this bottle but try their BB cream instead.
