I love this this foundation! It gives me perfect medium coverage and lasts well all day (14-16 hours). I prefer a matte look so set it with a matte powder so find that it is quite versatile. Have repurchased and will again.
Definitely lives up to its name. I'm usually a matte kinda girl but sometimes a girl wanna shine! This is great for days where I want to glow! I'm yet to discover a good dewy finish spray to compliment this as I only ever buy matte. Good buildable coverage. I like a full coverage so I have to go over a couple times and push product into my skin as opposed to buffing in. Pricey but you're worth it and coming from a matte lover - this is a beautiful satin glow finish.
Tips: Great to get a dewy look. Better for drier skin types but if you are a bit oily, moisturise the night before and prime in problem areas before application. Watery so beware. Shake well
Nars Sheer Glow is my favourite foundation. You need such a tiny little amount and like magic it spreads to cover your face in glowy natural goodness. You don't look made up, you just look like you've got lovely skin.
It annoys me that it doesn't include a pump, but I got over myself and bought a pump ($6) from Mecca. I usually use a buffing brush for foundation, but prefer to use my fingers for this, the warmth seems to help melt it into my skin.
Tips: Buy the pump, use your hands.
I recently had my makeup done for an event and decided to try out sheer glow, because I've heard so many good things. I purchased it straight after! I use the tone 'Monte Blanc' as I'm quite pale, however I was in between shades so went for the slightly darker shade because I can look quite ghostly. This foundation doesn't feel too heavy on my skin. The consistency is quite different to what I am used to, which is the MAC studio sculpt foundation. I use a make up brush to apply it and then dab around areas where I want more coverage. I definitely gives my skin a luminous glow. 100% will be sticking to this foundation.
Tips: Always get your shade tested to the jawline, not on your hand.
This is the only foundation I have ever repurchased and I haven't bought another one since! I love the formula so much, it is really easy to blend and build up depending on the type of coverage you are after. I use the shade Deauville which is the perfect match and no orange undertones which I hate! Doesn't break me out either! Would definitely recommend for someone with dry or sensitive skin.
Tips: I apply mine with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and love the result! Make sure your also buy a pump to go with it :)
I had heard so much about this foundation so I went out and decided to give this a try for myself. I love it. The formula is really nice and smooth. It felt like I didn't have any foundation on. I got a really good full coverage look with minimal effort. This blended really easily. I used a sponge to apply this foundation. I found it hard to get the product onto the sponge. I love this foundation, it is worth the money.
I find putting it on with the real techniques buffing brush then patting over top with a damp beauty blender is the only way it will go on nicely. I have tried many other techniques and have spent hours watching tutorials on how to apply it but only one way works without making it streaky. Gives a medium coverage but is buildable.
Tips: A damp Beauty blender is the best way to apply.
I've been through a few bottles of Nars Sheer Glow, in the shade Mont Blanc, and it is, hands down, the best foundation I've tried. It ironically is not sheer and not all that glowy either. It has a more of a satin finish that, throughout the day, creates a natural skin-like appeal. One pump of this product is enough for medium coverage over the entire face, and it's incredibly blendable so can be built on for a higher coverage, if that's your thing. I set it with a finishing powder, not a mattifying powder, and don't find myself looking shiny at all by the end of 12 hours. When I first tried this out I had more oily skin, now I'm more on the drier end of the scale and Sheer Glow has worked every time. I don't have a bad word to say about this foundation. NARS, as a brand, are of incredible quality and versatility, so I would definitely recommend checking this one out if you're near a counter!
Tips: Blending with a buffing brush is the easiest way to get a fast blend of this product. Damp sponges work also, but move the foundation around a bit first. And, buy a pump! They're $5 from the NARS counter and if you're able to pick one up when they're in stock, do so - you'll use far less product (and thank me later).
This is my holy grail foundation! I love to use this for every day use and for also when I am going out in the evenings (just applied a little heavier).
I have combination skin and this sits just so flawlessly on my skin, if for any reason I'm looking a little shiny in the day I just touch up with a little powder, which is rare to need to do anyway.
This foundation is so buildable and just gives such a beautiful finish! It always last me all day and I have never had any issues with it wearing off/breakouts or anything like that.
Tips: Sometimes I mix with a little bit of Estee Lauder double wear for a different finish
