I purchased this I palladium which is the tael blue shade in the photo. The colour is beautiful and the texture is so creamy, it glides on so easily, but I could I'd needed to be built up to match the colour of the pencil. I have hooded eyes and found it transferred and creased which was a bit disappointing.it really is too expensive to use solely as a base when there are other products that will do the job for cheaper.

Tips: Set with eyeshadow or use as a base.
I brought this as part of a Nars Beach set in the shade Skorpios. It is a beautiful bright copper with a hint of shimmer. It applies really smoothly and is creamy enough to blend outwards. I did find that I had to reapply during blending to re-intensify the colour a few times. I used this with a primer and hoola bronzer in the crease and it looked really effortless and pretty (and was also reasonably quick as a bonus). I found that this had really good staying power over the course of the day. I also didn't experience any creasing. Although I am really happy with this product I would be a little reluctant to repurchase primarily because of the price. I think there are other products on the market which do as good a job and are in fact a bit more pigmented such as Maybelline's colour tattoo cream shadows. I think unless there was a very specific shade that Nars had and Maybelline didn't then I would be more inclined to take the cheaper route.
I love everything Nars, but these shadow pencils are a disappointment. Some of them are greasy and crease, some of them a dry and hard to apply and then they crease. Some aren't too bad with powder shadow over top, but they just too sad to use.
I really want to like them (because Nars) and have too many of them, but they are a bit blah.
Tips: Try just about anything else by Nars instead.
