I bought this primer from the Nude by Nature website during a sale and I wanted to try something a little more natural. I was very curious to see if it gave an airbrush look. It came in a 50ml tube with a simple, but elegant packaging. The scent is subtle, but natural and it as a white, cream like consistency.
I applied a pea size after applying moisturiser and it spread evenly and smoothly onto my skin. The texture felt light, soft and non-greasy. I waited a minute or two before applying my foundation and the rest of my makeup. I have acne prone skin and I have large pores, my skin looked smooth with the primer and it didn’t cause breakouts. My makeup also looked even and smooth and last on for hours.
I like this primer, so far it’s the best primer I have used and it’s so easy to apply. I like the smooth and even finish, almost like an airbrushed makeup look. I also like the it’s a natural primer that works great!
I was given a little sample pot of Nude by Nature Undercover Airbrush Primer when I went into my local Farmers store looking for a primer that I could use under the Moisture Mist Beauty Cake that I have.
Nude by Nature's Undercover Airbrush Primer is a silicone-free primer that promises to create an even base for make-up application, while helping to extend wear. The first thing I noticed about this primer is that it is highly fragranced with a scent that smells almost peppery to me (it could possibly be rose-scented, as some other rose-scented products that I've tried in the past smelled quite peppery).
The primer does spread quite nicely, but it does lack the smooth, silky feel that silicone primers have, and it also didn't do a very good job of disguising the large pores around my nose or on my cheeks, and foundation application wasn't all that flawless either. This primer did cause a little patchiness which doesn't happen when I don't use a primer, or when I use a silicone-based primer.
I'm not very impressed with this primer; it doesn't live up to expectations, and definitely didn't extend the wear of my foundation. If anything, it caused my skin to become more oily than usual quicker in the day, which led to my foundation becoming shiny and prone to slipping or accidentally being wiped off if I bumped my hand against my face.
I will not be recommending this primer to anyone, and I think I'll stick to silicone-based primers, as they seem to work better as all-rounders that disguise pores, smooth the skin, and help extend the wear of my foundation.
Tips: Apply a small amount and wait a few minutes for it to be absorbed onto the skin before applying foundation
