I picked this up in the Vault to try. The packaging is very minimalist, it's a simple black sturdy container with a clear lid. There is a pretty touch of the word Mochi being in holographic lettering. Given this is a $40 palette, I was surprising the packaging was so basic and cheap looking and no mirror or shade names was included. The palette only comes with 10 shades, which seems a limited amount for the price, and only 1 shade is matte, meaning you can't create full looks with this palette alone. I think the shades included are gorgeous; there's very wearable shimmers (bronzes, golds and coppers) and more out there shimmers (pink, orange, black, purple). The matte shade is a simple nude shade ideal for highlighting the brow bone or a basic base shade. I found it odd that the only matte included isn't a transition shade. The matte is very powdery with a lot of kick back and doesn't perform that well. The shimmers are very pillowy in texture and absolutely stunning in the pan. I found they were beautiful on the lid but not as intense as I'd imagined when worn dry. However, when applied with a wet brush, the shimmers are incredibly intense and stunning and I loved the look. I really enjoyed the candy pink shimmer as this was a more unique shade, and the copper and gold shades were so beautiful. Unfortunately, these don't last very well throughout the day. Regardless of whether I apply these wet or dry, even with setting spray the colour fades fast and creases. I just don't expect that kind of performance from a palette at this price point. I enjoy the colours in this palettes as they're quite fun and stunning, but I've had many eyeshadows perform and last better at half the price. I just don't think this palette is worth $40, it doesn't contain enough matte shades, or wear long enough, nor is it packaged well enough to justify that price. If you can get this on sale, this has nice fun colours to work with, and I'll gladly continue using mine as I like the colours, but this isn't worth the full price and you won't get long wearing eyeshadows.

I need a few new eye palettes and I was lucky enough to pick this up in the vault so I am very please I didn’t have to pay for it - huge bonus!
They are pretty colours and shades - I quite like them all.. I’m very rarely into bright and bold so this was a nice wee selection of shades that I thought I could mix and match with some other neutrals I tend to gravitate towards. In saying that the fact I have to use another palette to mix and match to get a desired look or colour doesn’t really suit my needs. I was drawn specifically to a pretty pink in the palette but I was travelling light and didn’t want to take this palette and another away on holiday with me so I had to leave this to try one day when home so in terms of usefulness it’s not one perfect palette to suit your needs. 90% shimmer and 10% matte so keep that in mind.
All the colours are pretty and mixable but it’s hard to complete a full look using the one palette alone. The pink colour I loved was the main drawcard for me! And it is gorgeous in person, but upon application it wasn’t as pigmented as I would have thought. It took some effort to build and build.. to make it quite noticeable and eventually it did give a nice look but it wasn’t long lived. It’s nice for a selection to mix and match but downside is it’s not one palette for a complete look. Good if you can get it in the vault though as I wouldn’t pay full price for this.
This palette vs my Mac solar glow - Mac wins hands down wet or dry.
Such a wide range of shades in this palette. Very warm and inviting tones. I find that the only one with a matte finish really is the lightest shade which I find perfect for under my brows to make my brows pop!
The rest of the shades are glittery/shimmer and I love using them for a night out look! They are creamy and easy to work with, the pigmentation is great and they are long lasting.
During application there can be a lot of fallout due to the formula of the eyeshadow. It retails for $39.95. To me thats a bit pricey as I only use this for a night out look and that dosen't happen too often
I have had a decent play around with this palette and it can be used to create a lot of different looks
Got this in the last vault. 10 pan palette. 1 matte and 9 shimmers. The 1 matte shade is like a vanilla shade. Its quite powdery and I don't like it. The shimmers include: peach, pink, purple, gold, bronzes, champagne, rose pink and a black. Definitely getting a lot more use out of the shimmer shades they look gorgeous on the eye too. Even though I use primer for the most part, they last 3/4 of my working day and could do with a touch up in the afternoon.
I'm glad I got this as i'm really into palettes at the moment and the colour story to me is unique and pretty. There is no way I would have paid full price for this. Maybe half the price? Or at a very good sale. You can get better palettes at less than the price of this one and longer lasting quality.
I was very excited to try this, unfortunately my excitement did not match up with the experience.
The colours in this are pretty, but they're sooooo shimmery. It says there's a mix of mattes, but I only found the cream shade to be matte. The rest were shimmer bombs that had a huge amount of fall out and didn't give me any amazing colour on the lid.
I ended up passing this on to my child for play makeup. I wouldn't pay 39.95 for this. To be honest, I wouldn't pay 9.95 for this.
