I am obsessed, I got myself a sample of this and wow! I am fair skinned, a little bit more tanned in the summer and I tried this in the colour Monroe, it was the perfect colour for me. The consistency was thickish, I would compare it to Studio Fix by MAC. It didn't feel like it was sitting on my skin. The coverage is amazing for a BB cream and I found it was build-able, I would be more inclined to call this a foundation. A tiny bit goes a very long way. I have dryish skin and it didn't dry it out at all.

I received a free sample of this after the lovely BR ladies mentioned on the forum you could get some free samples to try and I have always wanted to try some of their products but being quite pricey it is nice to be able to try this first. This arrived in a little plastic pot with about a weeks worth of product to try. I was really surprised by the consistency of The Monroe it was a thick consistency and im used to BB Creams being quite runny and light more like moisturisers or suncreem. This was thick and more like a foundation then a bb cream texture. It reminded me of a mousse foundation that sort of air whipped feel but still light and airy on the skin. I applied this after washing my face with some Thursday plantation tea tree face wash and moisturising with the oasis apple a day moisturiser, I applied using my hands like I would a moisturiser but you didn’t need a lot as a little went a long way with this bb cream.
There is no real obvious fragance which is great I find a lot of the time things with a fragrance tend to aggrevate my skin. This covered really well better than any other bb cream I have ever used. It covered my skin beautifully got rid of redness and covered my blemishes while still letting a little bit of my freckles and skin shine through. It didn’t cover my dark circles but there isnt much that does. It has a really good strong pigment and finished with a matte finish like a foundation. I only had to apply a little bit of concealer to my dark circles and then carry on with the rest of my makeup routine without having to use some foundation to build over the top. The Monroe is the lightest shade which suited my very pale skin perfectly. I am normally the lightest shade in every foundation so its often hard to find even BB creams that don’t come out orangey on my skin.
I didn’t set with powder and it lasted my work day really well it had just started to come off a little on the most rubbed/touched areas (chin/forehead nose). But it lasted my 8 hour day pretty flawlessy. I have very sensitive skin and this didnt upset the balance of my skin at all.
I was really happy with this BB cream and how it looked and felt on my face, it was a lot more like a foundation but with the good healing properties of the BB cream, it lasted well and had a great finish. It is a pricey BB cream but I think its worth it and I will be using this in the future I would definitely recommend this to others who like a heavier more coverage bb cream.
Tips: a little goes a long way you only need a tiny amount.
I am a firm believer in companies that give out free samples, deserve my attention why because they are wanting you to try their product out free of charge so you have that time to see if their product works for you. And that's what I did with Oasis Beauty, they sent me the 3 samples and although I am more 'Hepburn' type, I was able to mix it with the other two to try - they did give me more of a natural look which I love! and even vibrant look where you could not tell I was wearing bb cream, with hyper pigmented skin/discolouration's I love how this BB cream, whichever the formula/matte-dewy all gave me an even colour/fresh looking skin which is what I'm really wanting. Definetly worth the price, the bottle will last you infact I buy another bottle each time I know I'm about to run out - I wear these BB creams daily and haven't had to turn to my liquid foundation in the last 2 months since purchasing these, and that's saying something :) Some days my skin is oily some days its dry, so I love how this bb cream just goes on my face like 'butttttttahhh/butter' and with no effort, a bit of bronzer/hi-lighter for contouring and blush...and that's me for the day. My no1 for sure :)
So I haven't ever really been a BB cream fan, the two i have tried have had poor coverage, haven't lasted all day, been patchy and looks oily!
BUT! This oasis one is amazing! I know the price is high but i'm seriously considering next pay day! (i got a sample for this one). Anyways i applied it and i didn't need to much product because it is thicker than normal BB cream which is another plus! It covered my face beautifully and didn't make it look oily! It was light enough to not suffocate my skin but still gave me a great end look!
I finished my look with some translucent powder & some blush and i was happy!
Tips: Seriously splurge on this! Or get a free sample and try it for yourself!
Gosh darn it I really wanted to like this! I am such a fan of Oasis and usually my skin reacts super favourably to their products. I keep giving this more and more benefit of the doubt but I'm nearing the bottom of the bottle and I still can't love it, or even like it.
Let's start with what I do like. I love the ethos of the company. Oasis tick all of my boxes, local, ethical, natural, animal friendly, checkity check check check. I also love the pump dispenser. This is my favourite packing for things like this because air is kept away, you don't contaminate the product with your grubby mitts, and you can tell at a glance how much is left.
I also on rare occasions can get this to look half decent on my face. Unfortunately there seems to be no rhyme or reason to these times and I can rarely duplicate the results.
The majority of the time this product is a wierd oliy hot mess on me that makes me look dirty. It's hard to work with - a primer is a MUST. I use a primer normally anyway but I don't like feeling like I HAVE to use a primer if you know what I mean. I end up spending a lot of time going over areas and blending and re-blending trying to find a balance between too much coverage (looking dirty) and having smeary streaky bits. To me a BB cream should be a quick and easy everyday product and if I wanted to spend this much time on my base I would use a foundation. Do not try to use this with your fingers for me it was beyond disastrous.
I'm using The Bardot which claims to suit most complexions. As I said before sometimes it looks perfect but most of the time it's too dark. And not in a normal way that a dark foundation would look. It's weird, it makes me look dirty like I've been gardening in windy weather. Admittedly I am really pale but I don't go in the sun and religiously wear sunscreen so at least I am consistently pale so I can't understand such different results each time. It's like I'm supposed to shake the product but given there's no air in it this isn't possible.
The most unforgivable part though? It settles in wrinkles I never knew I had and gives me big dark lines. Who knew my neck was so wrinkly??!! *runs to invest in decolletage cream*. After a few hours I look in the mirror and more often than not there are dark lines across my neck. No other product has caused this for me ever.
I find the finish to be super oily even though I have mostly dry skin and I think it may be contributing to my recent breakouts. Because of this it also runs and I can't trust it to stay in place. I think a powder would help but again for me BB cream should be about ease of use and not require all these additional steps.
In a pump bottle packaging. Very simple and modern. It takes a fee pumps for first use but after this it dispenses easily. The bottle is whit but you can see how much product is left to the side of the bottle. One pump gives enough to cover your face and has good coverage but you can build up the coverage by applying more. it spreads out evenly with a blending sponge and covers to your desired look. It sets nice and has no flashback and a matte look. You can either use it with or without a primer but sure your primer complements the matte finish. Using a setting powder does help it stay longer and again a matte powder is useful. The coverage is good enough that depending on your mood concealer isn't necessary. I have Munroe medium to dark skin. also having a spf formula this makes it great yet not shiney tacky or sticky I'm pleasantly surprised and can recommend to all who are wanting a good experience with bb cream.
Tips: Go online and try the free sample service. Use matte primers and setting powders to complement the matte effect finish.
I was quite scared of BB creams - I was about to throw in the towel. I tried another one (reviewing after this) and I ended up with big lines all over my face when the BB cream dried (EEEEK). But I thought that I better give BB cream the benefit of the doubt - so here we are.
My experience with this BB cream was DRASTICALLY better. It went on just like a moisturiser with a little bit of oomph.
I use the Bardot and it was the perfect colour for me. I use it everyday that I don't want the full coverage of foundation or to do anything particularly exciting with my makeup (You really can't use it underneath anything extravagant Haha).
I love that it feels really light and "no makeup-y" because I feel as though I'm letting my skin breath while not looking like the ghost I usually am.
The only thing is - I'm not too sure what the difference is between this and a tinted moisturiser. From reading the other reviews, it looks as though the darker colours pack a bigger punch in terms of feel but I'm happy to use it day to day regardless!
PS - The packaging is simple and gorgeous - like the rest of the Oasis products - and definitely my style.
I've tried all 3 BB creams from the Oasis range and have fallen in love with the Hepburn. I find the matte finish on this one and the colour is just perfect for me over summer. I mainly use this on my neck, rather than using up my more expensive foundation, and find it blends perfectly and drys to a nice matte, but not too matte, finish. Perfect for my slightly oily skin. It still looks good at the end of the day too!
I've only received samples with my orders of this so far but will be happy to shell out $49.90 for the product as I feel it will last me quite some time based on the use I have gotten out of the samples.
Tips: Try and get samples of all 3 colours as they are quite different, I didn't think the Hepburn would be for me as I'm quite pale, but over summer it's just perfect :)
This is a really great BB cream, it ticks all the boxes. Coverage - they have three different BB creams that provide different levels of coverage, so whether you're going for something very light or something akin to foundation, they've got it.
SPF - included, like it should be! :D
Sensitive skin - the Oasis range is designed for sensitive skin, so this should be gentle enough for most skin types.
Ease of application - this can be applied with your fingers, a wet sponge or a brush. While I haven't tried with a brush, I find a wet sponge gives a very sheer, natural finish.
Eco-friendly - this is a New Zealand brand, so you're supporting a local, very ethical, company. Yay!
Tips: Generous Oasis samples can be picked up from any Oasis retailer or their website, so you can try before you buy.
I have heard a lot about bb creams and wondered what all the fuss was about...until now. After trying the Oasis Beauty Hepburn BB Cream I am a convert. Its the perfect combination of a tinted moisterizer and a foundation in one! Its light enough to not feel like foundation yet giving me the coverage I needed/wanted (unlike other tinted moisterizers I've tried which didn't give much coverage at all) and also added some bronze at the same time so I didn't have to do a foundation base and then put bronzer over the top, which i'm stoked about as some days the makeup routine can take a long time! Very pleased with this product and it will definitely be one that remains in my makeup bag!
