I was admittedly quite skeptical about a sunscreen which can adequately hold on to my makeup. Usually my makeup - whether it's powder or liquid - slides around after applying sunscreen. But wow this is so impressive!
It smooths out over the skin really easily, yet feels thick enough to be providing enough protection. It dries relatively matte, and dries quickly too.
The white zinc particles can end up gathered around my chin by the end of the day, but it's an easy fix to rub it in with your fingers.
Oasis sunscreens across the board have a distinct 'sunblocky' smell which is almost like sulfur. I found it really icky at first, but am used to it now. I would much rather have a sunblock smell and know I'm getting enough sun protection, than have fragrance and photosensitive essential oils added which can cause major issues with both the quality of the product and delicate skin.
I recently ditched the heavy foundations, to try a natural and lighter makeup application. With a bit of research, and a tempting buy one, get one free offer, I decided to try Oasis. My skin has been a little broken with changing/trying so many products so I decided I needed to go back to basics.
I got this primer as the freebie for purchasing their mineral foundation and have to say I really like it and it really compliments their foundation.
It has the consistency of a day time moisturiser, so not a lot is needed. It has an SPF to it also, which is fantastic. A pea size amount will cover face and neck easily. I leave it for a few minutes to settle in before applying makeup. I use this with the Oasis foundation and have found my makeup looks fresh and dewy when first applying and remains hydrated through the day and foundation stays in place. My foundation also blends very well, without streaks or issues.
The big win is that my skin hasn't broken out at all, in fact it looks clearer and brighter, and the breakouts have healed fast.
I haven't tried the product with another brands foundation but I'm really impressed with the product. It's pricier than other primers I've tried, but with the SPF and the hydration benefits I find this one actually suits my skin well.
Tips: The promo on right now at Oasis is get the primer free when purchasing their foundation.
