This is a hefty bottle in diameter & kind of eye catching. I've had this for a whole sitting in my drawer and have used it a number of times but not daily. Comes with a pulp dipenser that doesn't suit the product erraticaly everywhere but more dispenses like toothpaste. The shade is said to suit all skin tones & I can agree. I've used it in spring & summer when my skin tones are two different shades. In winter I'm a medium skint one with a neutral undertone & summer I'm a tanned skint one with a golden neutral undertone. It has a good consistency not too thick not to liquidity almost perfect, with this consistency it's easy to apply both with makeup tools such as a kabuki brush or beauty blender or hands. I've used all three ways & found it to give good performance but my preference has been applying with my hands. It smoothly blends out, as a moisterizer would & leaves my skin looking radiant & evens my skin tone & imperfections on occasions I feel no need to add any concealer to cover any of my imperfections because the effect it gives a natural almost flawless look. In saying that I've done a full face as well with primer under neath & my powder blush bronzer's & highlighters all sit well on top of this product. I did notice some appearance of age defying but that was only temporary. As soon as I removed the product I wasn't left without wrinkles or the like. So it's not a serum miracle woke more of a cover up that can give the effect of natural glow & beauty. I wouldn't think this would suit everyone especially if you're of darker skintone but perhaps it could be used as a primer since I found my makeup sat well on top of it. This isn't heavy or slippery but does transfer even when I've set my face with powder & setting spray. So it's great for day time use when running errands or just around the house. Id you're looking for full coverage this isn't the choice for you. In all this isn't disappointing & for a supermarket drugstore brand it's affordable for this size. There are other brands that have better but either come smaller in tube's the pump is definitely a winning factor coupled with a lid.

Reviews
Overall I liked this product. As someone who does not wear alot of makeup I found Olay Total Effects Touch of Foundation BB Cream perfect for me.
Loved how it combines a moisturizer with SPF 15 sunscreen and BB Cream. The pump bottle was perfect shape and easy to use with enough cream being pumped out with a single pump. Smell was fine and wasn't too overpowering.
Cream was quite thin it maybe could be a tad thicker but was easy to apply with fingers or a brush (I tried both ways and both worked well). Colour was great for me very natural but that's what I like as do not wear alot of makeup anyway. Don't know what it would be like on slightly tanned/darker skin tones but probably not suitable for someone who likes a thicker coverage.
Tips: Can be applied using fingertips or a brush.
Was I expecting too much?
When the invite came in I leapt on it like a stampeding unicorn. I had used Olay previously but not for several years at least. The box is similar to the original total effects but they have added a glossy foil/plastic on the front to show the bottle and benefits of b3 pro-b5 and bb creme with a big 7 in one. It also says that the bb creme is all skin tones, I have a laugh at that as it is too dark for really pale skins and too light for some darker skins. For myself it was a ok match once rubbed in, not fantastic but livable.
On first use you do need to pump the dispenser for several goes till the product comes through. One pump is too much for my face so I slowly pump down till I have about the same as I normally squeeze out of a tube. I would apply this as I normally did, dotted over my face and then rubbed in. I had random chances with this as sometimes it felt like it burnt but other times nothing. I did notice that there was no redness with the burning feel. In the 2 weeks I have been using this, I haven't noticed any of the other antiaging benefits but sometimes they take a little longer to show through. There is a slight fresh scent to it, it won't appeal to everyone and seems to stick around for a while.
If you have good skin you could probably get away with this and a dusting of powder. It also went ok under liquid foundation with or without powder on top but it wasn't the same level as with a primer. To be honest I felt it was lacking as I was so used to put on the primer after my moisturizer, this might be habit on my part so I did double layer of this a few times but it didn't make up for the missing of primer. I would wear this by itself on the weekend if I wasn't going anywhere. It did come off easily at the end of the day, wipes, cream and foaming washes and makeup remover.
There are some downsides with this product that I noticed, one colour fits all as I mentioned earlier. If you wanted to use this as a night cream you would need to get the normal version of this too but at the price you would skip buying this one. Even when wearing by itself at home you still have to take it off at the end of the day. I don't plan of repurchasing this one but I would relook at the normal non tinted version that I used to buy and could use day and night if I wanted to.
A tad drying actually but I'm a sucker for two products in one and saving time. It was ok ,color was ok. But it didn't last all day and went patchy
I was excited to try this product. When I received the boxed up product I thought can it be possible for one product to do that much. I liked that te of was informing, wasn't a fan of bottle large white sticker down the side. I feel they have put more effort into the box then the bottle and don't think I would purchase if it wasn't for the boxes advertising. The first time I used it I pumped out way to much as the pump is extremely generous. I find I get creme on the lid when trying to put it back on. It has a nice subtle smell that's not overwhelming. I used my fingers to apply it and wasn't very impressed by it, i felt sticky and felt the colour made me too orange and shinny . Next day I tried it with a brush and remembered not to use the full pump was ok it I still felt sticky and shinny. I didn't seem to get sunburnt which was great so the SPF worked well. I'm still using it everyday to see if it's going to grow on me and will update.
Ive tried Olay before and it seems to be making a comeback. This BB cream is a great idea combining anti ageing benefits with a touch a colour. The container says it suits all skin tones. Im light/fair about a NC 15-20 Mac, not as light as some skin tones but pretty fair. This is way to dark for me! It also oxidized really badly and I ended up looking like an oompa loompa! I think that instead of being a quick easy moisturise and slightly colour with me it would have a be a full considered application with a sponge to make sure it was all even. With this in mind Im more likely to just use foundation that I know is my colour. Im interested to hear how it went on darker skin tones but it a no for light skin tones for me.
Tips: On me it went really patchy, you have to make sure its all blended or will look very obvious!
I have only purchased this once and I don't think I would use it again, I didn't finish the bottle as I felt that it really made my skin dry. With being a bit older I need something a bit more moisturizing and this product do not do that at all. I applied it more than once and the more I applied the worse it felt.
Tips: If you already have dry skin, maybe try a tester first?
I was really happy to be asked to be part of this trial, the product sounds so good in theory.
The packaging didn't stand out to me, though Olay is a well known and trusted brand, so maybe that gets it through. The first claim - perfect light cover. If you have perfect skin, then this will probably glide on gloriously. If your skins is a bit...average like mine (combination, but fairly acne free while I was trying this) then it probably wont look so good. On my skin it looked patchy, dark spots that looked like I had caked it on and others that were light. (Note I'm always the palest shade you can get in foundation, and this was not a match for me at all) It worked a little better when I piled some light powder on, smoothed out the patchiness and lightened it enough to have just a light summer cover. This kind of removes the 'radiance' claim that comes with the shine of the product without powder. The sunscreen element is great - it really works. I have had other foundations that claim to have spf but have failed dismally. This worked well in the full sun of a 28 degree day at the beach, and it wore well as well, not sliding or disappearing. I can't really comment on the anti-aging. It wasn't obvious on application to me and I don't feel that I had long enough to figure out if it was going to make any huge difference.
Would I buy this again - honestly, probably not unless they came out with one for us vampire pale girls. I like the idea of it, and I think it works. It's just the colour and patchiness that really don't impress me personally.
Tips: Follow with powder to smooth out the patchiness and lighten if you have paler skin.
I had high hopes for this all in one type of product. I applied it with a flat top foundation brush and it smelt nice. It spread easy and effortlessly. Blended well and my skin looked really nice and even, fresh and dewy.
I went to work.....I went orange :( It had oxidised on me so much that I turned into an oompa loompa.
So I tried again for 3 days , using the bare minimum of product. It did the same. So I'm sorry, this product is a no from me. If I was tanner , sure! But I'm a porcelain.
Tips: Try a foundation brush :)
I really enjoy using bb creams. I love a full face of makeup as well but theres something really refreshing about wearing minimal makeup and being actually able to do a five minute face. I was very excited to trial this bb cream so thanks heaps beauty review.
Olay is a brand I have known my whole life, my mum has always used it, even to this day. It was the first thing I reached for when establishing my own face routine also. I've used the total effects cream a couple of times previously but it is quite expensive so it's not something I use regulary.
The packaging of this is really nice. It's one of those airless pump bottles. This is beneficial as you don't get finger bacteria in there like a pot and it won't get air in it to make the product go off. I do like how this looks although I do wish the cap wasn't clear, the bb cream has smudged around the edges of mine and looks messy.
I have very dry skin. Every bb cream I've ever tried that has claimed to be a moisteriser too has never been enough for me, I still need to use face moisteriser before applying. Not for this one. This really is hydrating, my skin gets no dryness at any point during the day. I like to use one pump of product. It's actually a really generous amount, a half pump is probably all that is needed. I like to go fully down my neck and a little on my chest though too. The only thing with it being a bb cream is that I have to wash my hands after. I usually like to rub excess cream into my hands so they get a bit of nourishment too.
This has a pleasant scent, sort of lotiony and a touch of perfume too. It's not too strong. This says a touch of foundation so I was kind of expecting a decent coverage but this is incredibly sheer. It does come out of the bottle very thick and it looks very dark but it rubs in and sheers off. I get a very light touch of colour but it doesn't cover any acne etc. It doesn't settle into pores or anything though so looks super natural. I use a creamy natura shadel usually in foundation, this suits me well. I imagine it would suit most lighter to olive tones, probably not darker than that. I have been loving wearing this in the hot weather. I only use mascara and do my brows and I'm done. I don't think I could go the rest of my life with this look but it's so good for the school holidays and this summer weather.
I'll happily use this up and I think at some point in the future, I'd buy this for myself. I do wish they''d make it with a bit better coverage but otherwise it's a great product. I haven't tried, but I imagine it would be great under foundation too for a nice base, I had planned on trying that out but quick makeup has won every day so far!
Tips: I need to add that it has great sun protection too. I was at the park with my children and forgot to apply sunscreen to my chest and shoulders, I got burnt there but my face that was in full sun had not even a pink tinge. This was hours after applying it too.
