OPI Nail Lacquer Review
Reviews
Tips: oh maybe using a top coat nail polish might help?? :)
I have quite the collection of OPI nail lacquers (I was lucky enough to get them at cost price when managing a Salon). I absolutely love them, and you really can't beat the range of colours OPI offer.
I have had most of my lacquers for near on 5 years; they have even travelled with me around the globe on multiple occasions and are still in good usable condition (not gluggy, thick or hard).
The lacquer is a perfect consistency - not too thick or too thin, so with most colours you only need to apply 2 coats (some light/sheerer colours may need 3). The brush is a good length and width, and makes application fast, smooth and easy. OPI lacquers are self-leveling, so they dry even and streak free.
OPI are known for the quirky name they give to each shade. My colour of the moment (it's been a long moment!) is Mod About You. It's a solid candy-floss/baby pink from the Brights Collection.
I do find these a bit of a 'splurge' luxury product, so I really have to love a colour before I purchase it at full price. I've never been disappointed.
Tips: Use a base and top coat for maximum colour longevity. Don't just stick to one colour! Get creative! eg. paint your 3rd finger a different colour, or put a twist on the traditional French Manicure by using bright and contrasting colours.
First off I love the names they use for each colour, They have an amazing range of shades, textures, effects and the product lasts a decent amount of time unless your a picker lol They also have special packs and shades that empower celebrity styles and even the muppets!
Tips: Always apply a base coat and top coat after the use of any polish, makes it last longer and gives a better finish.
I love the OPI nail range! I have about 4 or 5 different colours (and would love to get more) as there is such a great range of colours to choose from in every shade.
What I love most about the nail polish is that they are really bold and paint on with nice coverage. The paint is not streaky and applies really well.
The only negative I have is that they are quite pricey - so I can only afford to get them every once and awhile for special occasions
Tips: Apply two coats for a nice thick finish.
They are soooo pretty! A nice range of colors to choose from. They aren't streaky. They have a good application. Loveeeee
i am obsessed with o.p.i polishes love the huge selection of colours, and love how evenly it goes on and drys reletively quick and is pretty chip re-sistent in comparission to other brands
I have used many OPI nail polishes and have always found them exceptional compared to any other brand I have tried. The consistency is great - doesn't clump or go too thin and always has an even result. They are much tougher than other nail polishes, lasting quite a while before chipping. There is a significant range of colours to choose from including many different shades of the same colours.
Tips: Two coats ensures a perfect, even coverage.
I have a lot of OPI, and I love the colours and durability of them! The top coat is great for sealing in and brightening both OPI coulours and cheaper ones, which it makes last longer. I'm a sucker for glitter and texture, so I loooove the liquid sands - so annoying to take off, but so worth it!
Tips: I always apply at least 2 coats - usually 3 in reasonably short intervals, followed by a top coat which I run around the top edges of my nail also to help prevent chipping
I love love nail polish, OPI is great a bit expensive for me to buy all the time but I love them when they are on sale. I'm not a big fan of the OPI shatter though I find it really hard to put on, but once it is on and has the top coat on it looks amazing
Tips: Top coat helps it last and reduces chipping
Absolutely love opi nail polish. It last longer than most and is hardy too. After washing dishes and cleaning house my nails still look fantastic. They last a good 2weeks before I redo them. Love them.
Tips: I always put a nail strengthening base coat abd after applying two layers of nail polish I then add another layer of clear nail polish for that extra shine.
