This OPI nail polish in the shade 'Elephant-tastic' is a fun, bright, popping pink, perfect to compliment and accessorise any summer outfit/occassion. I love this colour as it can be quite casual but has the finish to also work for events. It goes on well and has a perfect finish after three light coats. It dries pretty fast and lasts for a lot longer than other nail polishes I have tried. Would definitely recumbent this colour to anyone who likes fun pink shades.

OPI Nail Lacquer Review

Tips: Keep your nail polish in the fridge for a better consistency for applying.
On a whole these are very high quality nail polishes. However do your research before purchasing a colour. For me personally, I've noticed that Pink Friday and Fly (Nicki Minaj series) are not very good (gloopy and sticky) and they dry out and change texture very easily and don't have a very long shelf life in general. This doesn't work well with the brush size. The gelly/glossier colours seem to do better. I would still recommend them but there are definitely better brands out there.
I had seen OPI in so many shops and heard so much about it for months. I admired the colours and the range of choice, but refused to pay nearly $20 for one bottle of nail polish. However when it was selling for $10 a bottle at a makeup sale, I decided to give it a go. I chose some amazing colours (the colour range is my favourite part about OPI), and I was so excited to get home and give myself a manicure. Applying the polish was easy, it went on like a dream and the brush spread the polish evenly, but thickly (which is how I like it for a good even coat). I tried layering a couple of colours for a feature nail and sat back and admired my new look. However, the next morning I washed my hair in the shower and the polish was already beginning to chip! Washing some dishes that night I lost some more. I have since used OPI several ore times, with similar results and become disillusioned by this product. However, a really good quality top coat will improve the stickability of this product. I have put Revlon colurstay diamond top coat over OPI and the colour lasted for about a week which I was quite impressed with. I would use OPI again, but only with a decent top coat, otherwise I feel like I am wasting my time.
I love opi for the quick dry time, great brush, wear time and formula. Only downside is the price which is between $8-12 especially for newly released colors. You can find older colors/collections online for under $8
Tips: For me the best top coat to use with opi polishes is by formula x sold at Sephora
I am a complete OPI fanatic.
98% of the polishes I own are OPI and I am rarely (if ever!) disappointed.
The shades are beauuutiful with so many options for all skin tones and all tastes. Great range of shades within colours too, eg. huge range of pinks, nudes, grey's, etc.
The brush on the OPI polishes are my favourite of all time, with the wide brushes making application quick, easy, and tidy. You can coat an entire nail in two swipes, three for a thumb, and most colours apply evenly without streaking.
They are on the pricey side, but Farmers and Chemists often do deals and discounts so definitely hold out for those as they pop up frequently and are worth waiting for. Plus you can then get several at a time :)
Also I love how they keep their main range (which is huge) and constantly bring out new collections - OPI never gets boring and constantly brings out new shades and finishes.
Tips: Use a matte top coat as a basecoat for lighter shades to help make them opaque quicker and apply less streaky (OPI Alpine Snow, I am looking at you)
O.P.I nail polish are one of my favourite nail polishes to use! I like the creamy formula, how most of them dry or 'set' almost instantly and most of all, the variety of colours they offer! for every single skin tone, occasion, trend and however you're feeling at the time :P Most of the O.P.I colours do look the same in my opinion, like the reds! I can never tell the difference between some of them! I like the more pastel, creamy, nude colours and although nudes are the hardest colours for me to put on without the streak marks O.P.I makes it easy for me with the great combination of the formula and the brush :)
Although they are a bit pricey sitting at $24.90 each you can get them cheaper online or they do quite often go on special :)
OPI is such a high quality brand and you can never expect anything other than nail perfection when you use it. I have tried brands such as sally hansen, essie, chanel, orly and pretty much all nail polishes you can think of and i still seem to go back to opi. I love it because of their colour range, so many colours to choose from ranging from the lightest to the darkest. They have such nice brushes that give such smooth application, you really can't go wrong. The main thing and the thing i find most important when testing if a nail polish is good or not is the drying time. I mean it would be great if a nail polish could dry as soon as you apply it but lets be real, its not gonna happen but OPI seems to have a really good drying time. It takes about 1 minute to completly dry and i have found that this was the quickest my nails have dry. many others such as china glaze take at least 4 minutes and even then, I will end up smudging at least one nail If you are going to buy an nail polish I would definitely recommend OPI
I have a true love for my fingernails, mainly because they are a beautiful part of me that aren't stretched when I have too much chocolate!! I also have a love of OPI polishes. When there was a sale in town I thought it to be a great opportunity to try something different and this polish is exactly that. At first I got excited this is a truly gorgeous colour and texture when I first wore it I stopped everyone at my work and made them have a look. The guys weren't all that interested but they humoured me anyway. After a few days of it without any chips woohoo! I decided I was going to try to take it off which I was dreading increasingly. It was harder to take off than your regular polish but I got the technique down and although it took longer I still pull it out on special occasions when it will suit my outfit. I love this colour and the texture. This is a must!! from me and my slim nails.
Tips: A nice solid base coat or two made the removal a lot easier second time round!
Definitely love, love, love this nail polish! I love the creamy consistency it has, the colour is absoltuely beautiful its in a beautiful strawberry milkshake meets pink watermelon bubblegum shade. It can compliment any skin tone. This is a definite statement colour. It paints beautifully and coats extremely well. It is also long lasting.
Tips: A top and base coat is the key to longer lasting nail polish and also reduces the chance of chipping- worls fine n its own also. this tip is just incase you want to keep the polish on longer.
I have a rather large collection of nail polish and OPI represents a third of my hoard! The great thing about OPIs is their large range of colours and even better are the collections they release throughout the year. Since they have such a large range, you can easily find a work appropriate pink, date night red or sparkly gold for New Years.
They also wear (mostly, some pigments will always chip more than others) like iron on me. I can get over a week's worth of wear - but this is also due to figuring out a base and top coat combo that works. OPI have also started releasing different types of polish, such as OPI GelColor and in the future, OPI Color Paints for blending your own.
Tips: For a work appropriate pink nail polish, I use OPI Don't Burst My Bubble. Its a half opaque light pink that makes my nails look healthy. A good friend was horrified I didn't have a femme fatale red and gave me a mini of OPI Big Apple Red that I promptly bought a full bottle of. Being a 90s child - I found that OPI Lincoln Park After Dark is the perfect vampy dark purple.
