I was struggling to find a decent base coat as all my nail polish was constantly peeling off as my nails can be quite oily. But I started using this base, and my nail polish has worked well with it. however I wouldn't wear this as a single coat as it is very sticky without a different polish over the top.

Tips: wait for the coat to dry for 15-20 mins, I know it is a long time but trust me it will work!
I'm a total nail junkie and change my polish on average 3 times a week. This base coat has been my base coat of choice for around 3 years now. It applies smoothly and dries quickly. It has a rubbery texture to your nails which helps the colour bond to the nail. It make the colour last on your nails up to a week without chipping with a good top coat. Prevents your nails from staining with those hard to remove colours. It can get thick and sticky towards the end of the bottle but it's at the very end of the bottle and you would need to replace around this time anyway.
Heard rave reviews about this on Google so after months of (not) coping with constantly chipping nail polish, I bought this and gave it a go. I have noticed a very slight difference while using this, maybe an extra few hours wear without chips? I'm used to polish chipping within a day so I wasn't too disappointed. However, this particular product also rips layers off my nail every time I remove it! I have decided not to use this anymore because of that very reason; it's actually been weakening my nail. If you have thin and weak nails like me, avoid this!
I've been using this base coat for a few weeks, and I've definitely noticed an increase in the longevity of my manicures. As a web developer/librarian my nails get some pretty brutal treatment! I've found my Bonder + colour + Seche Vite top coat combination lasts 5 days or so! With my previous base coat I was lucky to get 3 days of wear.
Tips: Try it with some Seche Vite top coat.
I use this at work, more for clients who have oily nails or are always using their hands in water or have rough on the hands occupations, they love it and it helps the polish stay on longer than a few days.
It works really well for a base coat
As with any products it does not work for everyone, definitely worth a try though
For years I used OPI base coats but I made the switch to Orly Bonder to try something different. I have definitely noticed my manicure lasts way longer without chips! I still alternate between this and OPI Nail Envy, I chose this for my holiday manicure and after a week I only had one chipped nail out of ten - great success! Super happy and will definitely repurchase.
If you like matte finishes, textured finishes or scented polishes then you need to invest in this product.
This came out before Mattes became super popular as ORLY brought out some limited edition matte shades. This came free when I purchased the matte polish to help adhere the polish without the use of a topcoat as that would make it shiny..
This has been my secret weapon for years.. Used as a base coat with your fave scented polish, matte or textured polish your color and scent will last longer than usual and look how it should..
I cannot recommend this rare gem enough, its amazing!
This was my first basecoat product and it didn't really work for me. Chipping of nails didn't stop. Worst part was when I was half way down, it thickened and now I use the bottle to store DiY nail polish glue.
I love love this base and have bought several bottles. It does get quite thick and gluggy near the end of the bottle. I like the brush and bottle for this, very easy to handle and they look nice :)
Tips: It takes a few steps to keep your nail polish from chipping - make sure your nails are freshly cleaned of oils before applying the base coat. Once your mani is finished - be careful with your nails for the rest of the day, never use them as tools for picking at things or opening anything. It'll really help!
Bought this because I liked the small size of the bottle to fit in the manicure bag, which I often put in my handbag to my nails on the go if I get a spare 10 minutes. Word to the wise: it doesn't work. I got chips in my polish (on my index fingers, which always chip first) within one day. I had chips on other fingers within two days. I had to take the whole lot off after three days, because it was looking manky. This was paired with the Orly Won't Chip Topcoat. I persisted with the basecoat for about two months, but it went gloopy in the bottle when I got to half way and I couldn't use it, so I binned it.
Tips: Just don't buy it.
