I love painting my nails but almost always end up smudging them due to impatience or a pressing need to get on with whatever it is I am meant to be doing. Enter Smudge Fixer.
Well doing one of my recent manicures I bumped my pinky and was left with a small smudge on the center of my nail and thought it the perfect opportunity to test this intriguing product out. I had read that it works best when used soon after the incident while the polish is still wet so quickly grabbed it and started to apply above the smudge as instructed and smooth over the smudge. The product is very thin so is easy to work with and I did see a slight improvement in the appearance of my nail, but, it still wasn't perfect. I found it remedied the smudge but left the nail looking a little uneven. However the instructions stated to add another coat of polish, so I did and was left with a smudge free nail with no evidence of the disaster.
I tried a second time with a more dramatic smudge and it still improved the situation but didn't completely erase the imperfection.
This is an interesting product and one I am happy to have got to try but unfortunately this didn't live up to my expectations and is a product I wouldn't run out and repurchase as I think it is just as easy to simply repaint the smudged nail (depending on its severity of course). With bad smudges or dents I think a repaint is needed as this just doesn't cut it, but, for minor dents and smudges this works a treat and will be in arms reach of me whenever the polish is out.
it really does fix the smudge :)I used a pearl nail enamel, which always smudges when i use it.One drop of the product,a few strokes of the brush and smudge was gone. Love it.
Tips: will take more than 1 stroke but brush like you are adding the polish as normal.works a treat!
