Orly Nailtrition Review

I'm a preschool teacher (when I'm not on maternity leave), so my nails take quite a battering. My sister got married and I got acrylics and that seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for MY nails. My nails felt really thin, were peeling and breaking really low down.

Then I remembered I had some nailtrition from the Farmers EQ sale, so I dug it out.

I like how it is a light pink and has a bit of shimmer to it, it felt like I was still wearing a little bit of polish - unlike some clear ones I have used, or OPI Envy which just disappeared! I followed the 2 week plan that Orly suggests and I can honestly say that my nails felt stronger. They weren't paper thin anymore. It took a bit longer (I think I used it for about 5 weeks) to get my nails into a decent condition, and a bit longer still til I would say that they were healthy, healthier than they had been in a LONG time. (My nails have always grown fast, so that's not a problem, they're just quite weak.) No cracking, splitting or peeling. I DEFINITELY recommend this if you have the patience to work on fixing your damaged nails. It's not a quick fix, but it worked for me!

This is a great product if your nails are damaged by acrylics, or other injury, but if your nails are damaged due to an internal illness this may not work for you.

I bought this too use after having my acrylics removed as they were peeling and after 2 weeks I noticed a difference and my nails felt stonger.

It has a gorgeous shimmery pinkness to it, so just looks like you are wearing a polish,

It helps to strengthen your nails and stop them from being brittle and weak, and it works great too if your a reformed nail biter trying to get your nails back into shape :)

Picked this up at Farmers a while ago and I love it!!! Noticed a definite improvement in my nail strength and growth. No more peeling nail tips and less chipping. I like the fact it has a slight pink shimmer. Not super noticeable but still pretty.

I've had this in my vast collection for awhile now and was just telling my mum about it the other day, it's great I find it really does work to not only strengthen and repair your nails but to also promote quicker growth. It's easy to put on with a nice brush and it has a very subtle pink shimmer enough to know your not nude but not to much to get it noticed, if you follow me :) It's really quick to dry too which makes it ideal for a base coat or just when your in a hurry. I highly recommend this and will continue to buy and pass onto others.

I actually came across this stuff when it came as a free sample in one of my makeup orders not long ago and was blown away by it so I went out and purchased is full sized bottle. I have very weak, brittle nails that are constantly peeling, a complete nightmare! I've tried other nail growth/nail strengthening products in the past but just never found the results wow enough to maintain the routine required so I was pleasantly surprised by this products. As with other Orly polishes, this has a lovely formula which dries quickly and applies perfectly with their generous sized brush. The colour is a very sheer, shimmery pink which is sheer enough to not be phased by the appearance, most of the time I forget I even have it on my nails. Although it won't magically give you perfect nails, it does noticeably minimise damage.

I received this as a sample in a make up order I did, and as its designed to help strengthen weak nails I thought I would give it a whirl.

The polish is a sheer pink and you can wear it as is, I did for several weeks following their instructions. Its very girly, with the pink polish and purple lid.

Found the formula was very gluggy and I had to use some nail polish remover to get it to loosen up - even then it didn't help. It went on thick (couldn't be helped because of consistency) and took forever to dry. I thought it chipped easily and when I took it off my nails didn't look any better, they looked slightly worse.

Wouldn't buy a full sample of this. The sample I got had probably been sitting on a shelf or in a basket but I was just disappointed.

Good nail care staple. Paints on well and has definitely helped to protect my nails. Find it a bit too heavy when I've used it according to instructions, but have no problems if I use 2 coats initially then remove and repaint in a week or so. Helps protect my nails especially while at work (nurse) and not too noticeable.

I have pretty badly damaged nails. I don't know whether it strengthened my nails hugely but I did notice some great results. They definitely didn't peel as much. I also had quite a few compliments on the sheer pink colour.

Application I can agree with the other reviews - sometimes it is quite gluggy. I find that more so when I am at the end of the polish.

After ripping off my acrylic nails I was left with brittle soft and peeling nails. I didn't have a lot of money so I thought I would give Orly Nailtrition a go. It was a nice consistency and the colour looked really nice and natural on. After about two weeks I noticed my nails felt a lot harder and were no longer peeling.

This product was excellent and the price was even better!

I received a sample of this in one of my online orders. For a nail treatment this is a really pretty, slightly shimmery pink that would suit all skin tones. I'm more into nail treatments than into polish as I don't always have a polish on but I always paint some sort of treatment on my nails weekly. You can apply this on a sheer, very light pink or you can apply more coats and build the color up. I did try it both ways. I while painting a coat on daily did strengthen my nails and seal in splits and peeling, I did find painting my nails nightly to be inconvenient. The sample I received was a bit thick as well so that didn't help with the drying time. One outstanding thing about the bottle design is the cap is easy to grip and open even if rim is crusty with dried out polish. I think this treatment is reasonably priced and I plan to repurchase. I would recommend this to those who want a cheaper nail treatment or like don't have a long time to do their nails and just want a simple manicure with a hint of pink shimmer.
