This is a great product even as a base coat, fantastic if you have just had your acrylic nails taken off or have damaged nails, its fill the ridges nicely and helps gives a smooth finish

Top coat
This product goes on smoothly and creates a nice polished finish to your nails. I found my nail Polish stayed on longer and didn't chip as much as usual. I would use this again

Orly RidgeFiller Best as a Base Coat 4 Smooth Base
I like to use this on my toenails since mine are cracked and ridged. I have tried my best to smooth them out with a nail buffer and they not only shorten the lifespan of my nail buffer but I can't buff out cracks. This is where this comes in handy as it helps to make the nails a bit smoother so the color goes on a bit better. Of course with my severely cracked toenail on my little toes (unfortunately it grows out split and cracked) I can't get a completely smooth base but the nail polish goes on an stays on better. I haven't tried this on my fingernails because I prefer to use a base coat or nail treatment that helps more with nail growth or strength and because I can buff my nails completely smooth. But for my toenails this is my first choice for a base coat. I would repurchase this for my toenails.
Tips: This is best as a base coat, especially if you have really thin nails that if you were to buff out the ridges you'd buff through the entire nail. Or you could apply a nail treatment base coat to strengthen them and then apply a coat of this before you paint on a color so you can get the benefits of stronger nails and a smoother base for your nail color.

Orly rigde filler topcoat
I love this product. Nails are super shiny, and has a gel look. Really smooth and even. And long lasting. I also find that it’s chip resistant. Would recyhis product.
