Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lip Colour Review

Great lipstick. I have been using these lipsticks on and off for many years now in a variety of different shades. I apply them in the morning and then go about my day and often when it comes to lunch my lipstick will come off. These lipsticks don’t. Once they have been applied they stay in place for the rest of the day.

I bought a trio of these at Farmers on Boxing Day and paid under $30 on sale. All 3 shades are neutral and very wearable. Most long wearing lip products tend to dry my lips out but this really surprised me. Not only was it comfortable to wear it was actually quite hydrating . I applied the colour to my lips waited for a minute and then applied the clear gloss. The gloss wore off as soon as I had a drink but the colour remained strong and still looked quite glossy. It definitely didn’t last for the 16 hours stated on the box. Mine had completely worn off in about 4-5 hours. I will however definitely buy this product again as it felt lovely on the lips, was very affordable and while it didn’t live up to the claim of lasting for a whole day it did last for a reasonable amount of time.

I've used this Lip colour for many years now, and have converted a few friends as well. It really does stay on, and i find that i don't need to keep retouching it during the day. In fact if i apply it at night before i go out, i have found when i've forgotten to remove it , its still looking great when i wake up in the morning! I do find that it is drying , as it is a long lasting formula , so i always use the gloss on top afterwards, you need to wait a few minutes for the lip colour to set and then pop on the gloss. I love the range of colours, my favourite is Bare Maximum, its the perfect brown nude for my skin tone.

Purchased this as I like the warm autumn shade (Bare Maximum). Admittedly the concept of separate matte and gloss in the same tube sounds good but I personally prefer an all-in-one lippy. It's quicker to apply and you get more product. This appears a good size but is divided between the colour and gloss, and the middle inch is taken up by the screw-in brushes. Deceptive to the eye. The lipstick doesn't look as tidy on as I would like and the gloss feels a tad heavy. I won't be repurchasing this as I feel there are better lipsticks to choose from and definitely more value for money options out there.

I borrowed this from my mum because I needed lipstick on a whim and I was so impressed and will buy more. I enjoy that you can have a matte look or the glossy look and it feels nice on the lips. The colour range is impressive and I enjoyed that the gloss over the top wasnt sticky. Overall I would recommend this lipstick.

Colorstay is true. This lip colour will stay until you remove it yourself. I have 4 colours and enjoy using all of them. This come in a double ended tube, one has the colour and the other has a gloss. I dont use the gloss as much as I use the colour but it is a nice change when I do.

You do have to be a bit careful and have a steady hand when applying the colour as it really does last, a lip liner may help here. If I am using the gloss I will let the lip colour set for a good while, probably 10 minutes then pop on the gloss. I will have to touch up the gloss throughout the wearing of this but that is quite usual. The actual lip colour will stay on really well, maybe touch it up later in the day.

The formula is rich and I didnt find it drying on my lips.

The colour was good but without lip liner didn’t stay on too well. Alone my lips dries out and the colour constantly had to be renewed which was disappointing as this isn’t a cheap product.
