Have to swipe on waterline A LOT to get it to darken, it doesn't stay on well and overall really disappointed for price. Only saving grace is it's mechanical.

This is an eyeliner I used in black for a couple of years and found it to be good, if not a bit standard. Application is easy, smooth and gives a medium/thick line. My only criticisms are that I would have to disagree with the claims that it lasts up to 16 hours as I never got anywhere near that and although it looks great immediately after application, it does have a tendency to smudge a wee bit but otherwise, no major issues. The retractable twist design doesn't particularly bother me but I reckon you do get more bang for your buck with a pencil eyeliner. I've since switched to a different brand pencil eyeliner in a brown shade which is better suited to me but I still have my trusty old Colorstay as backup!
I like how easy it is to apply this product as some eyeliners require me to go over my eyes a few times to get the colour to really show. I like how i don't need to sharpen it regularly. But it smudge a little when I wear it outside.
I've used this for years & although it's not really waterproof & definitely does not last 16 hours, I still love it. The colour is great, pigmented so black is a good true black. I love the pencil end. It's a twist out so soft & easy to use. It's small enough so get right in the lash line.
Since it's called Colorstay I thought it might actually stay but after a 9 hour day at work (my standard everyday hours) I couldn't find a trace of it on my face.. At least I can say it wasn't smudged or anything but that's because it wasn't there at all! In saying that, it was easy and good to apply, very coloured and after trying it with a eyelid primer too, it stayed on all day easily but I don't always have time to do this so it isn't an everyday use product for me.
Tips: Use eyelid primer to make this the perfect eyeliner!
This wee guy is my go-to pencil liner! I Love that you dont need to sharpen it, I find it a very black black (which I love!). As for 16 hours, I have never tested it out...Who needs to wear make up for 16 hours?
Tips: To get the linder to stay put 100% I apply it over top of Eye primer (on my lids), and for my lower lashes I set it by running a litle black eyeshadow over top!
I've used this eyeliner for the past four years or so and it really goes on so smoothly, and is lovely and soft, giving me a nice black line (I use blackest black). It the pencil lasts me forever, even if it doesn't actually last the 16hrs it claims, but it may just be the fact I don't set it under my eyes. Still love this stuff.
Tips: Set it to make it last longer.
i really like this eyeliner because it stays where i put it and doesn't melt and move down my eyes to make me look like a panda. it doesn't really ware off and i don't have to reapply it thru the day..
i really like this eyeliner, it has to be one of my favs and its not too expensive either. some eyeliners smudge and dont hold but this one stays in place all day
I have got this in black, it is very dark and pigmented. The twist tip is handy, but the pencil tip tends to break off easily, and the whole thing actually fell out of the holder the other day. It has a sharpener on the end which is good. I find that it doesn't smudge easily and stays on for most of the day. I don't think I will use this one again because of the breakage factor.
Tips: Let moisturiser and foundation set into skin around eyes before applying.
