Hands down favourite eyeliner. Really good price. Really good feel; soft enough so that it doesnt stab your eyelids and strong enough that it does a solid job. I always buy in black because I'm a traditional kinda gal. Especially love it because you can wind it up and down, no sharpeners involved! Its totally my fave and happily recommend to everyone!

For some reason, highschool days seem to be when the emo eyeliner look comes out. During highschool, this eyeliner was my holy grail. The convenience of having a twist up pencil was great as I could take it anywhere with me and not have to worry about bringing a pencil sharpener with me. The lasting power of this eyeliner is quite good, however on the waterline, it doesn't hold too well. I think this is a great product and I would repurchase in the future to keep for on-the-go touch ups.
I wear pencil eyeliner daily and I have found the Revlon Colorstay eyeliner to be one of the better ones. It does on relatively smoothly, but even if it leaves bumps it's easy to smooth out with a finger. It doesn't last 16 hours without smudging or fading a little, but it certainly does pretty well. I know I still have to scrub it off after wearing it for a full 16 hours. I do find it difficult to make a thin line, but perhaps it's just technique or I need to actually sharpen it.
Tips: You can't wear too much.
Preemptive warning: this will be more of a rant than a review.
I purchased Revlon's eyeliner because I had run out of my MAC liner and I wanted something to use in the meantime (this was before MAC was available in Hamilton).
Firstly, I love twist eyeliners so that is a plus for this product; other than that I was extremely disappointed. I'm pretty sure I was charged up to $10 more than the RRP at my local Farmers and the eyeliner has less product in grams than most others brands! Not only is there less product but the width of the liner is extreme! For the purpose of application the width is ridiculous; and I have a conspiracy theory that the size is just an excuse to make the product run out quicker.
I purchased this product in a brown, they only have one brown available and it is really dark... it would be great to see more options. Revlon is such a large brand I'm sure they could make more colours available.
Most disappointingly is the product's ability to "stay," I knew that the foundation in the 'Colour Stay' range was popular so I figured the eyeliner would deliver the same results, alas, it did not. The eyeliner smudges and does not stay, definitely not an option for use on the waterline.
In summary: the product does not "stay", there are limited colours, price per gram-age is a rip off. The best thing about the product is the packaging.
Tips: Don't bother.
the actual eyeliner itself is great. but I dislike the twist application thingy and u cant sharpen it well atleast i couldnt figure that out, I also dislike how it applies as a thick line, i also dropped it once and now its all broken inside making it unusable. however the actual eyeliner is great doesn't smudge or anything just which it came as an actual pencil.
I've used this liner for a long time. Tried a few different ones but alway come back to this one. Its soft enough to be gentle on the eye, but give you a nice line that isn't to sharp. Love the charcoal colour as it a little bit subtler than black. Wear time is good to as are most colourstay products. I find it hard to smudge.
Tips: Only wind up up a little as you use it.
The Revlon Colour Stay Eyeliner is soft, but not too soft. It gives a smooth, even line and is easier to apply than a pencil eyeliner as it isn't harsh and sharp. It can be used to give a reasonably fine line but would also be good for a smokey look. I wouldn't say that this product lasts significantly longer than most other eyeliners and isn't suitable for the water line. The only downside to this product is that it doesn't last as long as a pencil eyeliner. This is because there is less product and more product is used in each application.
Tips: Use an angled brush to apply black eyeshadow over the eyeliner to give a bolder colour and set the liner.
This is an eyeliner I used in black for a couple of years and found it to be good, if not a bit standard. Application is easy, smooth and gives a medium/thick line. My only criticisms are that I would have to disagree with the claims that it lasts up to 16 hours as I never got anywhere near that and although it looks great immediately after application, it does have a tendency to smudge a wee bit but otherwise, no major issues. The retractable twist design doesn't particularly bother me but I reckon you do get more bang for your buck with a pencil eyeliner. I've since switched to a different brand pencil eyeliner in a brown shade which is better suited to me but I still have my trusty old Colorstay as backup!
Colorstay eyeliner in black and the black/brown was one of the best liners on the market in terms of pigmentation and long-wear, however since this line has been re-formulated the texture has changed and the black shade is slightly blue/grey toned (not a true black) applies a bit patchy and just isn't worth my effort anymore especially since you are paying $20+ for this product.
This is super black and glides on nicely, it does stay longer on my water line than most other pencil liners, but to be honest that's not an impressively long time. I do like it but I think I will try something else when I am finished with this. It's not a staple for me.
