Tips: I use a powder over the top to set the foundation
I heard lots of beauty bloggers raving about this foundation so decided to give it a try about 6 months ago and I was really impressed!
I got the oily/combination one as I heard the other one for normal skin can oxidise a bit and change colour during the day which I wanted to avoid as I am so pale. I find that it is great for keeping shine at bay and it stays on really well and you can build up coverage. It is something of a miracle that I found a colour match (Ivory) as so many pale foundations are too orange for me but this one is perfect.
Tips: I like to apply it with a damp beauty blender sponge and set it with MAC Studio Fix powder and then it lasts all day.
I often change types/brands of foundation after finish using one, my idea of doing this is that I am wanting to try to find the perfect, most suitable foundation for me. I will definitely be using Revlon Colour Stay foundation again. I found that the shade I chose (I bought it off Trademe and didn't go instore to match a shade) matched my skin pretty well. I like that the formula is light and it goes on easily and it is really suitable for my skin type. It doesn't dry my skin out and it doesn't leave it feeling excessively oily. It has a good coverage if you build it up and if you have the correct shade. It stays on for quite a good amount of time meaning you do not have to constantly fix up your make up. It doesn't make your face look cakey and un-natural. I think this foundation is a foundation that everyone needs to try out at least once, you never know, you might fall in love.
Tips: Apply powder overtop of foundation allowing it to set and stay on for even longer.
I love this foundation! I have tried to branch away and try other foundations (as we do), but I keep coming back to this one. I have oily, hormonal acne prone skin and occasionally towards the end of the day my shine comes through. The coverage is great, although i do need to conceal sometimes. I like applying powder over the top for set the foundation.
Tips: Not to prime is a crime! Use a suitable primer underneath that will suit your skin type.
I really like this foundation. It has a really buildable coverage which I found great as some days you need more coverage than others. It feels lightweight on the skin and doesn't look cakey. It stays on throughout the day just like it claims, yay! The only thing I don't like is that it has no pump :-)
Tips: Use a brush to really buff it in and make sure you get the right one for your skin type!
I love this formula, the fact that revlon has made a foundation that caters to my oily combo skin is perfect for me! Gives flawless coverage and is long wearing. I don't break out after using this, and feel super confident knowing I dont have to sneak off anywhere for a touch up. A little goes a long way, blends well and easily. My favorite foundation!
This foundation quickly became my holy grail, can't live without, foundation. I picked up my first bottle from Farmers from $45.99, which is quite pricy compared to the US price ($9.99) and I haven't looked back.
I use the lightest shade 'Ivory' and it has been amazing to find a foundation light enough for my skin tone in winter. I apply mine with a damp 'beauty blender' style sponge by smoothing foundation on with my fingers in the desired area and blending in and around with the sponge. I feel this gives the best finish as my flat top powder brush (which I use for apply foundation) 'soaks' up too much of the foundation. Also smoothing it out with my fingers makes sure the damp sponge doesn't eat all the foundation up either.
This foundation sits on my skin really well during the day when set with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (although the foundation is matte on its own) and I don't require any touch ups during my 10 hour day :)
I would definitely recommend this to any one looking to try a new foundation!
I've only recently started using this foundation and don't know why I hadn't tried it earlier! I have combination/oily skin and find this had great staying power, good buildable coverage (to full which I like) and doesn't dry out my skin. I apply this foundation with a sigma angled flat top brush. I will be repurchasing this foundation for a while yet!
I've tried a few, but this is the only foundation I'll use. It has good coverage without being too thick and cakey (you don't feel like you're wearing any make up, which is nice!), it wears for ages and it's reasonably priced.
I love this and it's one of my go-to foundations. I also own Estee Lauder Doublewear foundation which is twice the price, and Revlon Colourstay is as good. If you have oily skin, this is great as it doesn't budge/slide and it has a really matte finish. Totally recommend (PS this is used quite widely by makeup artists, so it can't be bad!)
