I received this brush set as a Christmas present, and I have to say that I am completely in love. These brushes look gorgeous, with a detailed, gold-on-black pattern printed on the handles. Not to judge a book by its cover, but I feel that this adds a real glamorous and original touch to the brushes. They are fabulous to use. Super soft against your skin, and excellently shaped for all your beauty needs. I use the foundation brush to apply my liquid foundation in the morning, followed by the giant powder brush. There are some great eyeshadow brushes included as well, and a fantastic eyebrow brush which truly creates flawless brows. My only critique is that the set doesn't include a super-fine eyeshadow brush, but for the price and size of the collection it provides a good variety.

Tips: Wash brushes regularly to keep them clean and soft.
I was gifted these beautiful brushes back in my makeup freelancing days, it comes with 6 brushes, 3 face brushes and 3 eyeshadow brushes. My favourite is the contour brush as it picks up product easily and it's a precise brush for contouring. I also like the foundation brush which I use for cream concealer and face painting.
The brushes are easy to hold and provide smooth control when your using them to apply product. Washing these are easy but noticed a small amount of fall out when washing the powder brush and contour brush.
I highly recommend these especially for makeup beginners as it has every brush you need. I have gifted these to a few family members also, they make fantastic gifts.
Might be because they were gifted to me for my birthday but I love them, finally a brush that after a couple of uses doesn't leave half the brustle on your face! The are super soft too, I washed them once a fortnight in baby shampoo and they dry pretty fast. All round I'm one happy bunny with my Revlon brushes :)
Update: If you have these brushes do take uber extra care when washing, on the 3rd or 4th wash I used normal shampoo instead of baby version and ruined all but 1 of the brushes which meant I had to throw them away and replace :(
I love trying new makeup brushes and I am a big fan of revlon but I must say I was pretty disappointed in this set and I really wanted to love them ! The odd bristle does come out with is a downfall abit but normal !
Theyr pretty good price for a set of the essentials I think I paid $60NZD
The brushes arnt all that soft but they would be great for a learner !
I did love how it came in the wrap easy for travel ect !!
These brushes are sort of mixed - some are good some are pretty average. The eyeshadow brushes are very good. However, the face brushes lose their quality quickly after being washed for the first time. Lots of bristles tend to fall out even when washed carefully! They are a nice texture and easy to use though!
Tips: try to wash minimally!
I was happy to find a reasonably priced set of brushes from a trusted brand. But I found these brushes to be a bit cheap and nasty. They shed bristles, didn't keep their shape well and didn't hold up to cleaning. I think Revlon have let themselves down with these.
We brushes are soft and great to carry around in purse or travel abg and they are good to apply make up. I use them nearly everyday but they are a bit expensive so don't break or lose any haha and also in they are easy to clean I just put them in some water and oils to take all the product off the brushes and wash them and then wipe with cleansing cloths. I clean them every month because I haven't used them much but its good to clean them every few weeks so the makeup doesn't dry up and doesn't come off after a long time
I bought these on impulse when picking up a couple of lippies and figured that for the price they seemed like a good, safe bet - not super expensive so they were never going to be amazing, but about the same price as Real Techniques, not super cheap so hopefully not terrible quality.
Seeing as I started with such low expectations, I was quite pleased with them to start with - there actually isn't a single brush in the pack that I didn't find useful and surprisingly nice to use (the foundation brush and angled eyeliner were particular winners for me, I thought they were fantastic for the price), but they lost their quality VERY quickly.
A few months of regular use (and much less frequent washing than I care to admit) and they are all shedding terribly and some are now also losing their shape making them impossible to work with (I'm looking at you, angled eyeliner!). On top of that, the pretty gold patterns wear off very quickly - not important for use, of course, but not nice to look at! I have some pretty cheap and nasty brushes in my arsenal that have lasted a LOT longer, so I'm pretty confident that I haven't just misused or mistreated them.
Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed. I got a good 6-9 months of pretty regular use out of them, so not TERRIBLE value for money, but I certainly won't be buying them again. Time to see if Real Techniques live up to all the hype, I think!
These were my first ever branded brushes. I was attracted to their price, the fact they are from a reputable brand and the handy roll they come in. After 3 months of using them a couple of times a week 2 of them broke and the fall out of the hairs of the brush was ridiculous, especially from the big fluffy brush. I had black bristles all over my face and it took ages to pull each individual bristle off my face. I hated using them and ended up throwing them out!
I purchased these on a whim, not really knowing if they were decent or not but figured Revlon has a great reputation.
Firstly the brushes look great and are well presented (love the design and continuity onto wrap). The brushes are soft and have no stray/straggly bristles.
Application... perfect, faultless, no bristles left behind at all. Precision where it counts.
Clean up... Easy to clean and dry well
I can not fault these brushes and have even recommended them to several friends already
Update: I have been using these for over a year now and still no complaints and no bristles lost. I clean them with baby wash and a stiff bristled brush and dry them in a paper towel. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis as much now though.
Don't drop on hard floor as handle separate after a good knock
