I can't for the life of me remember how I obtained this color, but I'm glad it's in my arsenal now. I have the color 'Plum Seduction' 917. It is a gorgeous hot pink, only slightly darker. I also don't remember seeing any plums this color.
The brush is one of the old school ones, a triangle shape but a circle. I prefer the flat brushes, but this one does the job well enough. For an opaque color you need more than two coats, and thankfully, the shade you see in the bottle is the shade that gets painted onto your nail! The formula is slightly runnier than your average nail polish, but that's probably a good thing in the long run as it won't get clumpy and dry out as quick.
I applied it last Tuesday afternoon, so it has been a week on my nail (I only painted one. In hindsight I should've done a hand). The chipping was minimal and by Friday or Saturday it chipped down the edge of my nails and it has only faded at the top. This was without a base and top coat. I like this polish. Depending on the price, if I found it again, I might just be tempted to buy more shades!
I bought this on sale from Arthur Barnett here in Dunedin as they often have beauty sales and I was able to pick it up for less than $10. The shade is a beautiful pale pastel purple which is perfect for me as in Summer I wear nearly all pastels.
I love the bottle, it looks like the Barbie nail polish bottles from when I was a kid with the angled bottom and the black lid. The brush is a standard round one but quite skinny. It also flattens out nicely on the nail when you are using it.
Unfortunately due to the light colour of the polish it does take a good 3 coats to get this opaque. I'm OK with that though because the layers do dry quite quickly. Also once dry this polish lasts me around 4 to 5 days.
Writing this I'm not sure why I haven't bought more of these!
