I stumbled across this on NZSALE for very very cheap, so I bought a few to try and I absolutely love them. They come in a great range of products and are comparble to OPI's which are about 5 times the price. It is easy to apply, except it takes quite a wee while to dry. Overall I think it is an great product and I will definetly use it again

Tips: do 2 coats for full effect :)
I find being a busy mum, you want something that's going to last, I wouldn't recommend this for chip free. I have tried all sorts the glitters, pastels, scented. I really liked the grape scented the most. I would only use this for an occasion, like a night out or a day at the races and remove it the day after, because I do like the colours there always on trend
My biggest issue with a lot of polishes is that they take too long to dry and have this goopy, gluey consistency. I'm a busy person who hasn't got all day to be watching polish dry- so I was pleasently suprised when I first tried this polish. It glided on with a smooth, liquid consistency and dried within about 20-30 seconds. I can't say much for the staying power as I tend to use my hands a lot so polish always chips like mad for me, but touch-ups were quick and easy to do so really I have no complaints. Great value and a quality product for a non bank-breaking price.
Tips: Do two thin coats, rather than one thick coat.
Revlon's Nail Enamel is a good, basic polish. I love nail polish and have this in several shades. The formula applies evenly and dries quickly. I wouldn't say it lives up to it's claim of lastability, maybe if you're a LOT gentler on your hands than me! Even with a top coat and base coat I did find it lasted an average length of time. What I do really like about the formula is how long it stays well in the bottle. I've had some of mine for more than a few years and the formula is still as smooth as ever, which I can't say about some more expensive polishes. I think if you're after a quick pop of colour then Revlon does the job fine, and I would use again.
Tips: Keep your polish in a cool place (the fridge works great if you have space!) as this keeps the formula lasting longer.
I have the colour in the picture and I am planning on painting my nails with it tonight with a mint colour. very good nail polishes over the whole brand. also have a red
I really like the colours available from Revlon, and the bottles are nice to look at too. I don't like the thin brush in these polishes as it takes too many strokes to complete a coat. Because they take awhile to dry, it's easy to mess up your second coat as it takes more strokes and smudges the first coat - making hard to get a good opaque even coverage. I find this too frustrating to buy more of these polishes. I have several in both light and dark shades as I kept wanting to give them a chance... I think if you want a light, transparent coat of polish like a shimmery see through pink or something, they would be fine. Not the best for a strong bold colour.
Tips: Wait a while between coats for the best chance of getting a nice even opacity.
I have had a hard time with this nail polish. i love the different coloures and shades but it never applies well for me. I always get a streaky, uneven finish and have had discolouring of the nail polish too after a few days.
As it is an enamel and not a polish, it is a bit more difficult to work with.
The bottle is nice and classy, with a nice long handle for the brush making it easy to work with. The brush is nice and thin as well which makes it easy to guide where the polish goes, but where I normally need 3 strokes to cover my nail, I need about 5 to cover my nail with this.
Now as it is an enamel, it is more runnier, so I find that it drips from the brush really easily, and when you try to wipe the excess off, there is hardly any left on the brush to coat your nails.
I also find that I need a good 3-5 coats of this polish for it to be really opaque.
And it doesn't last very long, while it doesn't chip, it starts to fade from the nail tip almost as soon as it's dry.
It also takes a LONG time to dry. So long that when you try putting on a second coat, it smudges the first, even when I've waited 5 minutes.
It's slightly translucent and not as opaque as I'd hoped. I needed three layers before the colour looked even. Chipped quite easily even though I had top coat over it but that might be because I play piano.
I own quite a lot of different colours of Revlon nail enamel, and am very pleased with how my nails have turned out. I have noticed it is quite thin after applying the first coat, so for the best results I apply another once the first has dried. I love the shade of red I own, I think its 'Revlon Red'. I'm a sucker for a lovely shade of red. I have found they are also well priced, and can usually be found on sale. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Tips: Apply two coats for an amazing result
