I have quite a few shades of Revlon nail enamel, and the colours are all gorgeous. Theres no streaking when you apply them. The slim line brush and bristles allow a good application, and drying time is fairly quick. Im always quite tough on my hands, so most of my polishes chip quite easily, but this brand seems to stay on just a little longer. The bottles are pretty and the wider bottom is good for ensuring it wont tip over if you bump them.

I have this in a dusky rose shade that doesn't look so great in the bottle, but once applied it is gorgeous. Many polishes look like they'd be lovely on but when you apply them there's something lacking - with the Revlon enamel I didn't have that trouble. It's also quite long wearing :)
I have a few of these nail polishes in varying shades. While the polish applies really beautifully and there is a wide selection of shades available, this is not one of my favourites. The brush is quite short which once you're used to it, actually works really well. The problem I have is that the polish always ends up streaky. With the darker shades 2 coats usually evens it out, but with the lighter shades I have applied 3 coats and still have streaks.
Even with applying a top coat the polish still ends up chipping, some times as soon as the next day.
Tips: I'll keep my lighter shades for base coats for nail art.
I've been collecting a whole lot of these lately, I really love the formula, it's a lot thinner than most polishes which I quite like and it dries very quickly. I find that it lasts around 3 days, which I don't mind as I like to change my nail colour regularly. It takes about 2 or 3 coats for an opaque coverage depending on the colour, some are even fine with just 1.
I love that Revlon always has a huge range of colours and so it's easy to be picky! I especially love the shade "Minted". It is a beautiful, almost grayed out, mint green colour (hence the name). I've always eyed Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple' but noticed that it is a bit too bright and blue for my liking. I love Minted as it is slightly more toned down and muted but still vibrant, fresh and cute.
Generally, I think that Revlon's colour selection is awesome HOWEVER the staying power of the polish as a whole truly isn't all that great.
It chips extremely easily and I have found that with numerous other Revlon Nail Polishes I own. I kind of want a polish that will 'provide up to 10 days of lasting colour and shine' WITHOUT the need of investing on several other products. I am quite lazy with my nails, haha.
Tips: Two coats should do the trick if you want it to be much more opaque and lasting on your nails.
Chip resistant you say?
I say very easily chipped.
I have a few bottles of Revlon Nail Polish.....and they look great for one day..then look awful.
Chips every where :(
I have been reapplying daily, which sucks cause it says this doesn't happen.
But it does!
I love to wear Polish but...don't love the chipping. It makes me NOT want to wear Polish.
However the pigment of colour is great and the ease of application is also great.
The colour range is good, could be a bit better with more sparkles , maybe a matte too...
I am really looking forward to trying their Gel Envy Range :)
I have this polish in the shades Lilac Pastelle, Sheer Petal and Hot Cocoa. Both Lilac Pastelle and Sheer Petal are absolutely stunning, which is probably the only pro for me. I was really disappointed when I opened these because the formula is incredibly runny and when applied to the nail, it runs off the nail and drips everywhere. I've also been unable to get this polish to dry at all, even when doing one thin coat, it stays wet and sticky all day. I still have been unable to use Sheer Petal but after about 6 months Lilac Pastelle thickened up and now it is finally usable. I really like Revlon as I brand so I am hoping that my polishes were just duds. The saving grace is the shade Hot Cocoa. It's about 6 or 7 years old, and it's still going strong, also the formula is perfect; it isn't thick and gloopy and it isn't too runny. It dries beautifully and is a gorgeous chocolate shade, which makes me wonder if Revlon have drastically changed their product formula's as my new Revlon polishes are awful.
Tips: Open it up, seal it and leave it for a few months to thicken up, as the formula is quite runny.
I brought this nail polish due to the reputation of the brand.
The product does go on very easily and covers well, however, it is very runny and needs about three coats to look good.
The purple colour is a bit lacking for me, it is more of a dull purple colour compared to what it looks like in the bottle. I wish it was true to the bottle colour as this would be amazing.
It does tend to chip after about three days of wear.
Tips: Buff your nails really well and do not apply a base coat, but do apply a couple of top coats, to help it last for about five days without chipping
I have used revlon nail polishes for years. I remember my first, it was a lovely cherry red colour, gorgeous! Anyway right now is not a time to go down memory lane!
These polishes do require a few coats to get the rich colour in the bottle, but it is worth it! It applies evenly and cleanly with not a brush stroke in sight, I dont know about you but brush strokes are my pet peeve when it comes to nail polish!
I find I can get two days without chipping with no base or top coat, I can get about 5 days with a top coat which is usually about the time a nail colour starts to bore me and gets changed
I like the brush and the formula is a little runny, but they do last a long time before getting gluggy and unusable,BONUS!!
Is this the best nail polish out there? No, it is not Is this the worst nail polish out there? No, it is not
Personally I like them, and will continue to use them as I have for years
The brush is really one of the best - easy application as brush is narrow, and the bottle is convenient to hold. First coat dried quickly and second coat took slightly longer (normal). I do find however that it wears off the tips fairly quickly even with a top coat. This for me was the only down side. Love the colours.
