My biggest issue with a lot of polishes is that they take too long to dry and have this goopy, gluey consistency. I'm a busy person who hasn't got all day to be watching polish dry- so I was pleasently suprised when I first tried this polish. It glided on with a smooth, liquid consistency and dried within about 20-30 seconds. I can't say much for the staying power as I tend to use my hands a lot so polish always chips like mad for me, but touch-ups were quick and easy to do so really I have no complaints. Great value and a quality product for a non bank-breaking price.

Tips: Do two thin coats, rather than one thick coat.
I have quite a few shades of Revlon nail enamel, and the colours are all gorgeous. Theres no streaking when you apply them. The slim line brush and bristles allow a good application, and drying time is fairly quick. Im always quite tough on my hands, so most of my polishes chip quite easily, but this brand seems to stay on just a little longer. The bottles are pretty and the wider bottom is good for ensuring it wont tip over if you bump them.
I can't for the life of me remember how I obtained this color, but I'm glad it's in my arsenal now. I have the color 'Plum Seduction' 917. It is a gorgeous hot pink, only slightly darker. I also don't remember seeing any plums this color.
The brush is one of the old school ones, a triangle shape but a circle. I prefer the flat brushes, but this one does the job well enough. For an opaque color you need more than two coats, and thankfully, the shade you see in the bottle is the shade that gets painted onto your nail! The formula is slightly runnier than your average nail polish, but that's probably a good thing in the long run as it won't get clumpy and dry out as quick.
I applied it last Tuesday afternoon, so it has been a week on my nail (I only painted one. In hindsight I should've done a hand). The chipping was minimal and by Friday or Saturday it chipped down the edge of my nails and it has only faded at the top. This was without a base and top coat. I like this polish. Depending on the price, if I found it again, I might just be tempted to buy more shades!
I've used more of these over the years, but reviewing based on the ones currently in my possession.
185 Sweet Tart - this is a cheerful candy pink.
370 Not So Blueberry - this is one of their scented polishes, and an amazing cornflower blue/purple with a bit of subtle silver sparkle - probably my current fave polish in my collection.
940 Facets of Fuschia - Metallic fuschia glitter flakes in an opaque black base
Brilliant Bordeaux - small purple glitter strands and larger holographic glitter strands in an opaque black base.
Night Spell - fine silver glitter in a thicker black base
Revlon polishes come in a range of shades and styles, which they are constantly adding to. Price ranges vary wildly depending on where you buy them from, and whether what you're buying is a classic, a seasonal trend or a discontinued colour.
Application varies slightly - I find the brushes for these polishes (which come in circular glass bottles that are wider at the base, and feature a black cap with a gold band) are on the thinner side, and that can make it a little harder to get a good stroke happening. With the block colours, two coats are necessary but with the glitters it's more like 3 (apart from Night Spell, because the base colour is thicker) - you do have to experiment to get the look you're after.
I find that Revlon polishes do smell intensely of the sharp nail polish scent - apart from the scented version, which is a curiously pleasant berry fragance.
Longevity is decent, especially with a good quality top coat on top. Interestingly I've never used a Revlon Top Coat - would be interested to see how it compares.
These polishes often get noticed when I wear them - but I do choose more out there shades than some!
The block colours come off easily, but the glitter is hard work, and I tend not to wear it often because of that - though I adore it when I do wear it.
Definitely will buy again (I never buy them full price though) and have definitely recommended them to others before.
Good, reliable, consistently high quality polishes from a trustworthy brand
This nail polish actually lasted longer than I though. Went on easily and dryer nice and quick ! I was impressed. I can't wear it at work though because our hand sanitiser we use all day seems to soften it and it begins to chip. Great to put on for going out over the weekend
I have this nail polish in many colours and enjoy them a lot. I uxe a base coat everytime I paint my nails, so once that has dried I apply usually 2 colour coats, on the odd occasion I have had to use 3 coats. It will dry in probably 10 - 15 minutes then I will top coat for a gloss finish. I do find the Revlon polish stays on longer than any other brands (except gels) but unless I am locked in a rubber room with nothing to do I will never get 10 days out of it (sadly). I am happy if I can get 3-4 days and then maybe do a little tidy up.
I have a few colours in this Revlon range of polishes, mainly lighter matte ones.
I like the formula of the varnish itself makes applying easy and fuss free with a great finish (sometimes streaks but normally covered with another coat). It dries fast between coats (big bonus!) With the lighter colours you can get away with 2 coats but 3 looks better.
This polish does chip on fingernails which is a shame but Im yet to find one that doesn't (other than professional shellac) so no big deal really. I haven't tried it with the Revlon base and top coat so maybe that's where there secret lies to get 10 days wear!
I have had my Revlon polishes ages now and they have not gone clumpy or gross* they are just like the day I brought them.
*Other than the sparkle one I brought for feature nails called 'Cosmic Flakies' this has gone gluggy and I haven't had it long :(
I purchase my polishes on colour mostly and given that there are SO MANY in this range Im sure I will be bound to buy more.
Tips: Keep an eye out on deals to nab these polishes at a cheaper price, Revlon often have 2 for $20 deals (Normal RRP from memory is $18 each)
I really enjoy using revlon nail polish. they have a brush shape which makes it easy to apply without too many mistakes! they do chip after a few days but generally last a decent amount of time.
Tips: take your time and let the polish dry completely before doing anything with your hands as they take a while to set.
I love the colour range in Revlon, I have quite a collection of their polishes. I find them to be a good consistency - not too runny and not too thick. I have acrylic nails, so colours usually last up to a week, sometimes I’ll refresh with another coat of colour to extend the life of a colour, but on natural nails, get just 1-2 days wear before it starts chipping off.
I own quite a lot of different colours of Revlon nail enamel, and am very pleased with how my nails have turned out. I have noticed it is quite thin after applying the first coat, so for the best results I apply another once the first has dried. I love the shade of red I own, I think its 'Revlon Red'. I'm a sucker for a lovely shade of red. I have found they are also well priced, and can usually be found on sale. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Tips: Apply two coats for an amazing result
