I purchased this because i use the foundation in this collection and love it. Lucky this was half price because i was a little disappointed. I have it in the light shade but it comes off very yellow and quite matte on my skin. This would be better suited for someone with oily skin who loves a good matte BB.

Going to get straight to the point with this one as it's orangey and no one wants that! There's nothing more disappointing when you get new a BB cream or foundation than to find that it has an orangey pigment to it.. The shade I got this BB cream in is medium.. Perhaps the light shade doesn't have that problem? I don't know, but I can manage to make this BB cream work, by buffing lashings of translucent powder over top of it. I can actually get it looking quite nice by doing this, as there's nothing wrong with the consistency of the BB cream, it applies nicely and smoothes the appearance of my skin as any BB cream should.
Another way I can make use of it is using it as a primer for a foundation that's a tad light.. If you're like me and always trying different foundations, you might end up with some that are too light, some that are too dark.. In this case you might find this BB cream usable as a primer to balance out a foundation that's a bit light for your skin tone.
Although i've managed to make use of this BB cream, I'd have to strongly advise against anyone considering purchasing it!
I picked up the light to try at a makeup sale to give it a whirl. It's similar thickness to my garnier bbcream but maybe a tad thicker, I didn't like the smell and although light works for me in most items I found this way too dark. I gave it tyo my mum to try on who is much much tanner than me and it suited her perfectly! Coverage wasnt very good also.
I love my BB creams and love to explore new ones but this one was really a disappointment. This product dries too fast and made application very difficult. It dried almost instantly leaving my face looking cakey and blotchy which a BB cream shouldn't. I bought the lightest shade and even then it was too dark for me. Over all this product left me feeling unsatisfied.
I would usually choose a med shade in bb creams but this was far to dark for me, product was super oily and patchy and didn't last the whole day. wouldn't recommend for anyone with oily or oily combo skin!
This BB cream gives better coverage than most BB creams I have tried, and I love that it is SPF 25. However, it does make my skin break out and for that reason I save it for special occasions rather than everyday use.
I purchased this on special at the warehouse. I rate it 8/10, the color doesn't suit, I'm usually medium in Maybelline but this range medium is too dark for me, but its not too over the top. Its actually does a good job at evening out skin tone, its light weight, smells lovely an has SPF 25. Will only purchase again If i really need to.
I liked this product when I bought it at the beginning of summer (yay for SPF!). It was a really good price and I found it went on easily and kept my work skin looking nice all day. I tended to only use it during the week. However as summer ended I went back to full foundation more often and only used about once a week if that. I noticed the BB cream seemed to dry really quickly now when I did use it and the colour didn't seem to be quite right (almost a bit orangy?). Finally last week I threw it out as I tried it again (having initially bought it last November and used about half the tube). I am not sure if was the product or me. I still feel I got my moneys worth though and will possibly try again this year when the hot weather of Napier comes back.
Tips: Use it and then discard - don't keep too long Great when you need SPF over summer but don't want too much makeup on.
This BB Cream is quick and easy to apply and looks pretty when it's first applied! At the end of the day, however, it does leave your face feeling a bit oily and orangey which is to be expected considering its non-expensive price. I wouldn't recommend this product to someone wanting a long-lasting and even finish.
Tips: Go lightly on the bronzer with it as its shades are darker than expected!
Don't get me wrong, the Rimmel 9 in 1 BB Cream does do its job. The problems I have with it are 1) the shades are very general, so initially it's very difficult to tell which shade you are. Since I have a tan/olive complexion, it makes colour-matching difficult, especially when the shades are that general. I have the medium/dark BB cream, which is not too bad, though maybe a bit dark for me. The main problem is the red pigment in the BB cream sometimes separates from the rest of the tones, leaving a slight red smear, almost like I've applied a light blush to my skin, which is annoying to fix. The product is also a bit too thick or maybe just a bit sticky, making blending it in a little hard, especially when using other products with it.
All in all, it does work to a basic extent, but is not an ideal BB cream.
Tips: Mixing it in with a foundation or moisturiser can make the BB cream easier to apply and help with blending to your tone and smoothing out the product.
