The first time I tried this primer was at a daytime music festival in Brisbane. Usually my face melts off quick smart in that kind of environment so you can imagine my delight when I got home afterwards and it still looked good. Good enough to go back out clubbing without having to touch up much at all. Needless to say I bought a tube as soon as I got back to NZ and have repurchased since then. I find this primer goes on smoothly (probably due to the silicone) and gives a nice tint to my skin but this may not suit all skin tones. It makes my makeup last heaps longer than usual and I dont get smudges or creasing in my frown lines which is always a bonus haha. This is now my "in between" primer which I use for days where I need my makeup to last til after work or weekends where I'm going out but not having a super big night.

Tips: Always wait for it to sink in a bit before applying your makeup.
I really love this primer. Rimmel fix and perfect, it comes in a easy to remove product tube and you only need to use a minimal amount for your entire face.
I freaked out a little bit when I first went to use it as the 001 has kind of an orange/peachy color tinge to it but thought what the heck and used it anyway, well to my surprise it went on without any type of oily feel, it was quite nice and thick so I felt like my skin was being moisturised and the peachy tinge to it evened out all my skin tone and cake me a perfected canvas to apply my foundation, it only slightly minimised my pore unfortunately but that was okay.
And it actually did prolong my foundation wear, it helped a foundation that normally ran off my face last all day so i was pleasantly surprised out that too. I did go through the tube quite quickly but happily went out and got this primer again.
Rimmel is becoming a very loved brand in my makeup life and would happily recommend it to anyone to try, the brand is alot cheaper if buying online of even Kmart and Warehouse stock it so its not hard to find when you need to replace the tube.
I use this everyday before i start my makeup routine and i absolutely love it !! Makes my face feel like it has a smooth base to apply foundation to.Comes in a tube form. The product is a little on the peachy side but when applied to face it blends out a little and evens out my skin tone.Makes my makeup stay put all day
So I only got this a few weeks ago..had high hopes...
It's thick and it's a salmon colour so my first thought was WTH!
It dries clear.
It's smooth skin.
It did not fill in my pores. MY foundation sinks into my pores and just infuriates me.
This is not suitable for larged pore girls like myself.
This primer is slightly above average overall! Firstly, it has a slight orange tinge to it, which is not best if you are fair - it can show under your foundation a bit. It does do a good job at smoothing out your skin and providing a nice clean canvas for putting your makeup onto. It is really affordable which is great if you are on a budget. However, there are many many better primers out there! The packaging is lovely
Tips: Apply with a brush as not to transfer the oil from your fingers onto your face
this product was just bad for me it made my face so orange i thought i would give it a go as i love the rimmel matte powder and a few other products but this was just a big let down to me my foundation went on so badly i removed it straight away i would not reccomend this primer there are alot better ones out there for the same price range !
Thought I would try this out. It's colour tint surprised me a first but it didn't change the colour of my foundation at all so I was happy with that. It goes on smoothly and evens out my skin but I have oily skin and this product doesn't keep this at bay and by midway through the day my oil comes through. I will use the rest of the tube but I would not repurchase.
Honestly, I'm still on the fence about this one.
I bought it in Target while in America as I had just run out of my Napoleon primer and was pretty disappointed when I found out it was a pink-orange colour, I try to keep my skin looking as cool toned as I can. Luckily it doesn't affect your tone too much and it does the job okay but its not anything spectacular, I'd say you could find a better primer that is also as affordable, maybe try the ELF primer.
It gives a smooth matte finish but is ineffective with pore coverage, I'm lucky to have decent skin, so if you find that an average primer won't cut it with your skin type, I say steer clear of this one, try the ELF primer or even shell out a bit more and get prep and prime. This seems like a 'bottom of my make-up draw' product when I get around to buying another primer.
Tips: Try MAC prep and prime, ELF primer, Napoleon Auto-Pilot instead.
I brought this when I was a ran out of primer and just needed a cheap one in the mean time. It did the job in terms of making foundation apply smoother. I was very surprised when opening it, that it is an orange/salmon colour and leaves a slight tint to your face. When you are quite fair skinned like me it looks obvious. I then had to try mask the tint with my foundation. Overall the colour is what puts in down so I will not be repurchasing.
This primer does do what it states and provides a blank canvas for makeup application but it is too orange, sometimes the orange shows through your foundation which is not ideal.
Tips: Not recommended for light skin tones.
