I bought this to try as I was low on primer, generally like Rimmel products, and it was very cost friendly. I've been using it occasionally now just to use it up but I wasn't overly impressed with it. The texture reminded me like more of a lotion-like glue which I didn't really like the feel of and my skin didn't look any smoother once it was applied. I didn't notice my makeup lasting any better than when I don't apply primer, either.
However, it might not be the right match for my skin and could work well for other people so would be worth a try.
When I recently bought a new Rimmel foundation, I wanted to have a good base to apply the foundation to. I like the fact that it promises to fix and perfect my skin in prep for foundation. The tube it comes in is quite pleasing to my eye because of the purple but otherwise it's pretty standard.
It has a screw cap and you squeeze (gently) to get the product out. The primer is white/cream in colour and is very thick which makes it perfect for a primer. It has no real in your face fragrance which I love because I can't stand too many scents around my face area. The formula is quite creamy and glides on like silk. It definitely gives a good base for my foundation which is what I am after.
See it all makes my heart fluffy up to there. What I found that even after using translucent powder to help with the stay power my makeup melted off with 3 hours. I wasn't doing anything strenuous, just working from my desk. Usually my foundation alone with the powder lasts no problem but with this it just kind of wore away. Admittedly I ate lunch but that never warrants it coming off that much.
I tried it for a whole two weeks with the same result. Upon using a different primer in the same brand it seemed to stay for much longer. I can only put it down to the primer because it was only when I used that, that it happened. I prefer the other primer to this one, so for that it gets a thumb down!
