This was my first ever decent mascara and it will certainly, probably be my last, unless they decide to discontinue it and I will protest like a Greenpeace activist.
Yes, that's how much I love this mascara. Why, might you ask? There are so many mascara's in this life and I opt for a "drugstore" one.
Well, firstly, it has two brushes, not two, but they slide into each other - so no, you can't use both at the same time! One's thin and one's thick - for a daytime lengthening look and a nighttime, both lengthening and thickening look.
Secondly, the formula is the best I have ever tried, and I've tried quite a few mascaras in my day. It doesn't smell, it doesn't clump - which is a big no-no in my eyes, and it dries very fast, but you can still layer without the need to worry.
Thirdly, don't you just hate a mascara that smudges the second you touch your eyes? Well, this one doesn't. Rub away, honey, for your mascara will stay put.
I will recommend this to you all with confidence, and I will almost give you a money-back guarantee that's how much I love it. Haha! Note: Not really... I'd love to, but I'm not made of money, nor am I affiliated with them so they'll probably sue me as well. Ooops....
If you can spare $20 buy it and give it a try. It's definitely one of the more affordable options out there and it's definitely one of the best.
So it's like two separate mascaras together: a day one and a night one. The day one creates length, so it's a smaller brush to create a subtly longer look. You can also layer this mascara quickly before it dries without lashes getting clumpy. The spiky brush helps a lot with this I think.
Then you can add the night mascara for a more dramatic look to add volume. I actually like doing this step before lengthening, but some people do it the other way round which is perfectly fine.
I usually use two different mascaras for volumising and for lengthening, so I liked this drugstore mascara's concept a lot! It's really handy for the makeup purse in your bag to not have to carry round two mascaras. I did find that there was a bit of smudging under my eyes at the end of the day if I layered several times, eek! But I have this problem with a lot of mascaras because watery eyes.
The size and concept is so handy though, and the brushes work really well to separate my lashes so as to coat each one individually. I like this a lot! Best of all, it doesn't irritate my eyes, and I wear contacts so that's pretty important.
Tips: Volumise lashes before lengthening. I find it creates a nice effect.
