This make up is almost like having zero make up on. It does not cover any bleishes or red spots. It just evens out your skin tone a bit. You must use concealer with this. Good for people with perfect skin that just want it to be a bit more toned out.
I do like the consistency as its a little bit thick which makes it easy to apply and the pump makes this even easier.
By the end of the day it feels like you just need to get it off your skin because it feels like its clogged your pores and evaporated off your skin.
I'd heard a lot of good things and so decided to pick it up. I was amazed at how easy it was to find my shade and the fact that I have a perfect match with my skin is something I haven't been able to do with any foundation before. Ever!
It comes in your standard foundation bottle - Yes it does come with a pump! Hallelujah! And it's a thin, lightweight, almost watery consistency. It's runny but won't run. It also smells great too, like a bowl of fruit.
On me it gives medium to full coverage. It does such a good job at covering my under eye bags that I don't even need to use concealer. This lasts on me the whole day, from 6am all the way to 9pm, without flaking, caking or coming off. However I do notice that by 9pm it has started to sink into the fine lines on my forehead - even though I have a primer on underneath.
It's really easy to blend, and I use a foundation brush to place it where I want, and essentially paint my face, then go over with a stippling brush, and stipple it all in to make sure it's all flawless. It does brighten up my skin and make it look really good.
One thing I will mention is that it is pink based. So it can tend to bring out the pink undertones of the skin. I wish they came out with the same foundation but with yellow tones.
I don't recommend this for oily skin people however- While I don't have oily skin myself - unless it's that time of the month, I do find that my skin is well, should we say moisturised throughout the day using the foundation. it's not greasy, but I can imagine it would be for someone who has oily skin.
I do sometimes use a powder over this - Maybelline Fit me, and I find that this makes it cakey over time throughout the day - I'm not sure if the powder is to blame, or the foundation. Just something to consider.
It was very pink and clung to my dry patches. It looked cakey really quickly and didn't match my pink undertones. It gave reasonable coverage but overall it wasn't my favorite foundation, I would recommend wake me up over Match. Although I liked the finish of both, math is more of a natural matte, whereas the wake me up is more dewy. Just a heads up for asians :)
I really struggled to make this product work for me. Had hardly any coverage and when I tried to build it up it made weird brush marks on my face that I could not blend in. I bought this as I have heard so many people loving it and I just could not make. It work for me
I recently bought this as i had run out of my normal foundation and needed something to get me through til postage day. Its medium coverage which i dont usually get, i like a full coverage matte look, this definately doesnt give this. The finish was semi shiny (no traces of shimmer on the skin that i could see though) but i still like it. It smelled really nice and spread well with a foundation brush but it stayed wet for a while once applied, it took a while to set compared to other foundations ive used. Not very builable so if you want full coverage, this is not for you, all that said, it stayed all day aswell as through a very hard workout. I would use again, on a good skin day only :)
This was my first (and possibly only) Rimmel foundation. I found that it went very streaky when using a foundation brush but applied ok with a wet beauty blender.
The packaging was nice. It felt nice and sturdy, with a secure lid. I like that I am able to see the product through the bottle too.
The foundation is quite watery so I was concerned that I was "washing" away my primer. It only provided very light coverage and clung to dry areas that I didn't even know I had, despite using moisturiser and primer first. An hour or two later it was slipping off my face due to my oily skin (I had set it with powder but it didn't help) which was very disappointing.
I'd recommend this foundation to someone starting out in makeup (my teenage niece for example) who has an even complexion and normal (not dry or oily!) skin.
Tips: Apply with a beauty blender, and avoid if you are prone to particularly dry or oily skin.
This product comes in a pump bottle, which is great to get the product out,but the bottle is glass, and I don't like glass foundation bottles, only in case it gets dropped.i got the shade 300?sand as I am normally sand in most shades of makeup,it was very dark but I still applied it to see how it was once on my skin,it says it adapts to skin tone and texture,I found it did not adapt to my skin tone, and after 2 hours it was not on my nose or chin anymore,I will not be re purchasing it again
This gave a reasonable amont of coverage but didnt seem to last the whole day. Can appear abit cakey sometimes. It comes in a pump bottle which is fine however i find the tip a bit tricky and end up with product running down the side which could just be a fault from the supplier if the pump. Its not the best product I have tried on my skin(which is usually quite dry) but is definitely not near the worst ive tried. It is good value for money so would not turn my nose up at this product. Give it a go
Match Perfection is right. I have this in the lightest shade and it matches my skintone flawlessly. I absolutely love it. The consistency is quite thin and lightweight. When you apply it, it feels like there is nothing on your face. I use a buffing brush to apply this, I usually stipple foundation onto my skin but using that technique leaves this sitting on the skin in an unflattering way. I also find it best not to use my beauty blender with it. The finish is super natural and a light to medium coverage. I do find that I need to use a hydrating primer, like my L'Oreal Lumi primer, rather than a super silicone based one like my Porefessional. If I don't use a hydrating primer it does cling to the dryness on my forehead. Overall I really like this foundation now that I have the application down and I will probably be repurchasing it.
Also in terms of packaging the container is quite big, you get a lot of product and it's very sturdy. It also has a pump and depending on what kind of coverage you want, you use either one or 2 pumps and you're good to go. Makes it super easy to get the right amount of product.
Tips: Buff it into the skin, don't stipple. Buffing gives a more blended, natural finish with this particular foundation.
