I liked this eyeliner I was glad that it sharpened well, found it a bit hard and it smudged easily. I got it in a great Christmas pack.

Tips: Just keep an eye out during the day as I occasionally found it was wondering a bit and just needed to tidy it up
What I enjoy about Rimmel products is that you can find them at most stores. I hardly buy online, so finding products in store is so much easier for me and I enjoy touching and testing products. For a drugstore brand like Rimmel I think their products are good to use. I often find many of their products on sale.
This pencil is sleek and black. It feels like a typical black eye liner. The texture of this pencil is smudgy. The black colouring is dark and vibrant in colour. It's easy to grip in my hand. I didn't have any breakage while using it.
When I do my liner with this pencil. I always do a tight line around my eye. I like to smudge the bottom lash line. I find it easy to create an outer smoky eye at the outer end of my eyes.
For a drugstore brand this eye liner is good to use on a daily basis. It lasts up to four hours for me and then I need to re apply it as it does fade. I think 12.00 is a bit high, but it can be found on sale at a lot of chain stores which helps reduce this price. I will only buy this on sale because of it's lasting power. It's ok if your on a budget but it's not the absolute best.
The pencil itself is quite compact and simple but does require sharpening so if you don't like sharpening, this probably isn't for you.
I have mine in the shade 061 Jet Black and the pencil itself is very black and creamy. I like that it is really easy to apply and it goes on smoothly without tugging the eye or being rough and scratchy. It's a kohl liner so easily tight lines and lines the waterline.
I do find that this smudges so is good for a smoky look, but also often turns out into panda eyes and is not long wearing and will smudge and also fades. I'll also sometimes set it with powder to help it last longer. It's great for enhancing a smoky eye.
It comes off very easily when removing makeup which is good and you also get quite a lot of product so it lasts for a long time.
I find that it works well enough for the price and you'll definitely get use out of it, however because it's not long wearing and often smudges and fades, I wouldn't repurchase and would find some other alternatives instead.
Tips: Set with powder to help it stay in place for longer. Also, look for specials like the Big Bucket deals - I picked this up for only $3.
I purchased a Rimmel gift set when I was in Sharjah which came with the Soft Kohl eye pencil , Scandaleyes mascara and liquid liner pen, it was a cheap and affordable set.
The first thing I noticed when I first applied this pencil was how dark the pigmentation was. It is very black and it is so hard to find the blackest of black eye pencils that apply dark and that stay dark. I like to use this to line the top and bottom of my eyes when I do a smokey eye.
Once I line the areas that I want, I go in and smudge the areas with a dense small eye shadow brush. It is easy to move the eyeliner and blend. The formula does move so if you want it not to budge you need to add a powder over the top.
This is not long wearing on your waterline, around 4 hours on an average.
The pencil is very soft so I like to draw on the top of my eye lid and smudge it (then set it with eye shadow) to make a dramatic smokey eye.
For the price it is very affordable, I have stopped using this pencil as I have found one better but it is much more expensive.
This eyeliner pencil is a nice shade of deep warm brown. It's easy to sharpen as the pencil body is made of wood. Good price at $11, or thereabouts. Soft and smudge-able, another positive.
On the downside it's not long lasting, in fact it stays in place as applied for a few hours only- maybe less. After a few hours there's only a dark brown shadow where the line used to be. Rimmel make some really good eye pencils so I'll suggest this is down to me having oily skin.
It's great for people who do regular makeup touch ups during the day. However, I'm not one of those people!
