I absolutely love this foundation! it is my favorite foundation that i have found so far. I have acne prone skin and this foundation gives me a full coverage look with out feeling cakey at all. I find that this foundation stays on very well and when i put powder over top its guaranteed to stay all day. This foundation however does not provide the matte finish that is says it will as i can see shine on my face about 4 hours after i apply it.

Tips: This foundation drys quite fast when you put it on your skin so can end up looking uneven, so i would suggest using your fingers to apply this foundation as the warmth of your fingers makes the foundation blend nicer.
This foundation did not work for me at all! But i really wish it did. I had heard so much about it so i had to try it and for $17 why not?
So i got the color natural beige (thats what color i usually am in drugstore foundation). It was about 2 shades to dark lol and it was way to pink.
The formula was really gross too. It was a thick gluggy mousse kind of texture. It was difficult to blend out and didn't sit nicely at all. Not to mention it oxidized on my face almost instantly!
I really wish i had more luck with this foundation but unfortunately it isnt for me.
Never would I have expected to have such a complicated relationship with a foundation! I love this foundation's initial formula, finish and I coverage, however I was disappointed to see that the shade ivory is not the same as the shade of the match perfection by rimmel, it is a lot pinker. My other gripe with this foundation is that it doesn't 'stay matte' as advertised, I dont have very oily skin and even with a powder on stop I'm still shiny after a winters day in the office. The other claim by Rimmel that this foundation reduces the appearance of pores is intially true but as the day goes on this product sinks into my pores even with a primer worse than any of my other foundations.
Tips: Best applied with a flat top brush then a sponge and set with powder. Bring your powder for regular touchups throughout the day.
I was lucky enough to have this gifted to me by a fellow BR member and was super excited to try especially with the fabulous reviews!
I can honestly say this has opened my eyes to cheaper foundation and definitely made me more open minded to trying other options!
I love the texture of this product, its so beautiful, fluffy and moussey. Alone it gives a beautiful full coverage with an almost air brushed effect.. Its not at all cakey and blends beautifully.
I love this even more mixed in with some CC cream and some strobe cream.. It makes the most dreamy concoction for the face.
The fact that this product is great alone and can be used in conjunction with other products for alternative finishes makes it an absolute must have in my opinion especially for the price! This wont break the bank and it certainly wont disappoint!
Tips: If you are pale like me and find it a lil too orangey toned for you just mix it in with a light CC cream it will help even out the orange tones!
I have been using Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation for about 8 months now. Although it's not my overall favourite foundation, it's definitely my favourite budget-friendly foundation. Only $19 from the warehouse! Although this make-up looks amazing straight after application, about 3-4 hours later it doesn't appear to stay on my skin very well. It starts to rub off easily and makes my skin oily. Still a great product for the price you pay.
Tips: Using primer first may help product to stay on better for longer than 3-4 hours,
After hearing good things about this foundation I thought I'd have to see if it truly was that good. I purchased the lightest shade they had which was 01-Ivory. The downside is that for drugstore brands you sometimes don't get a tester to trial the foundation first, which was the case with the whole Rimmel stand at my local Farmers. This is off sit by the fact that the foundation is under $20 or less during promotions so if you find its not a good fit its not a massive loss.
I love the design of the little tube with its purple writing and crown, but felt a little ripped off at only 30ml the tube looked so small in my hands compared to other foundations I own that fall into this category.
Formula wise I was surprised to read that it was a mousse type so wasn't quite sure of what to expect when I squeezed it out, as the only mousse type foundations I have had are the whipped ones in jars. I found that the product came out with the resemblance of cupcake frosting (that is the best way I could think of describing it) not thick or runny but light and puffy. As it sat on the back of my hand it looked as if it was going to work well on my face.
Application, I have tried both with brush and with sponge, finding that the sponge works best as the mousse texture doesn't get readily absorbed into the sponge, but the brush application is streaky. Sponge allowed me to blend into my neck, it was looking good then it started to set and the colour changed on my face to a very orange/peach colour that was emphasised on the neck, it required blotting off and blending with a little CC cream to get the right coverage.
It was a long lasting foundation that didn't move off my face or smudge, it stayed in place from early morning right through to the evening when I removed it.
I have finally found a foundation that stops the oil factory appearing on my face!
I have such oily skin that foundations slide off, it's gross. But this one it stays on from 7am to 5pm without needed to top up with powder.
I have been applying small dots straight on my face then buffing in with a beauty blender, it covers well but in some spots since it's so thick it doesn't blend as well so I'm gonna try rubbing it in with my fingers first as someone's suggested.
You don't need a lot of this so the tube will last for ages, I've found the shade 100 perfect for my yellow toned pale skin. Will definitely repurchase this beauty
fist off i LOVE this and wish i could use it but sadly i dont think its made for dry skin :(
coverage is amazing i would say it leans towards full coverage, apparently its a dupe for EL double wear
application and consistency, applying this is easy i just damp my beauty blender and pat the product into my skin and it blends flawlessly. the consistance is thick moose like, it reminds me of instant pudding for some reason haha
usage and price, for a full face i only used a pea size with this product a little bit goes a very long way! price is AMAZING for what you get
packaging is simple but effective
results, this gave me a flawless face with only using a pea sized amount and one layer was on the full coverage side, however i don't think this works well on dry skin as it accentuated dry patches and did feel quite drying on my skin, ther wise this would be my HG foundation :(
i recommend this to everyone!!! appart from dry skined people
I was looking for something to give full coverage without looking over done, and this has such great reviews so I eagerly purchased it while on sale off the ASOS website. I chose the True Ivory shade.
I really wanted to love this, but sadly it's just wasn't right for my skin type.
It does give a great matte finish, and it is full coverage, but I found the result much too dry looking for me, and I didn't like the overall finished effect of it. I'm not quite sure the colour was a great match for me either, as I looked a bit pale. (Picking a shade was hit and miss online).
It's a very thick mousse, and I found you really don't need much at all to get good coverage. I used my fingers to spread it over my face, and then my brush to blend it in. It's really easy to work with.
For the price, you can't really complain too much, it does what it says it does!
I bought this foundation as I ran out of my normally foundation but didn't want to buy a new $60 bottle of foundation as my mum was bring my some back from America. So I bought this one to tie me over since it was only $20.
I was pleasantly surprised, It is a good foundation and I received several compliments on my foundation when wearing the RImmel foundation.
The mousse formula goes on smoothly and spreads nicely, the coverage is Medium to Full. I use a Flat top brush to buff it into my skin which helps it stay longer and gives a nice even finish.
I did however have a few times were later in the afternoon I needed to reapply in my T-zone as it had become patchy. But apart from that it is a good foundation.
