Tips: Make sure to really prep your skin before use. eg Primer
I bought this off ASOS which has Free Shipping and great prices (yay!) and I have to say I am in love! It absolutely works exactly the way it says it does! It's almost got a mousse-like formula which seriously does stay all day! It provides a flawless, long-lasting finish, which - for me - is often difficult because I have combo skin. It minimizes not only pores, but also any pimples or bumps on the face! A little goes a long way as well. As for the packaging - it almost has a matte look about it. It's in a squeezy sort of BB cream type bottle which is great for getting every last drop of product out! The ONLY downside about this product is that the shade ivory is not that light so I think the shades might run fairly dark - so maybe not so great for fair skinned beauties! Overall though, a FANTASTIC foundation and I recommend 100%! Cheap and cheerful
Tips: Don't bother using this with a sponge as it doesn't apply like normal foundation. I'd definitely use a brush to blend the product into the face.
The Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse is my current favourite foundation. Prior to trying this foundation I had used Estee Lauder double wear, Clarins Skin Illusion and Revlon Colourstay. The Rimmel Stay Matte mousse has outdone these foundations with a sweet bonus of a lovely little $13 price tag (via asos).
I picked this up over a month ago and after the first application I was incredibly impressed. The coverage it provides is similar to the three foundations I mentioned, but feels a whole lot lighter on the skin. The first day I wore this foundation I felt like I had nothing on my face. The texture is light and creamy and blends easily and evenly. Previously I would reach for the Thin Lizzy concealer daily to cover acne scarring around my chin, but an extra layer of this foundation has left my concealer at the back of my drawer. This flawless coverage lasts all day (7am - 7pm) and keeps me incredibly matte. When set with a powder I do not need to retouch my foundation during the day and I no longer need to use blotting sheets.
After a few days of using this foundation I was about to label it 'perfect.' However, by the end of the week I had two dry patches on my face. I have oily skin so this was certainly unusual. I moisterised like a crazy woman and thankfully they haven't returned. This experience leads me to think that this foundation would not be suitable for anybody with dry, normal or even combination skin. The only other downside to this foundation is the colour range, which is pretty limited. I do have to mix two shades to get the perfect colour.
Overall this is my current favourite foundation which is an amazing alternative to the double wear, colourstay and Clarins skin illusion foundations. If you wear these foundations you will either love it even more, or at least enjoy it as a cheaper alternative for casual days. I will continue to use this foundation however I will need to be vigilant in nourishing my skin at night.
Tips: Asos offers the best price for this foundation.
Perfect for when I want a matte look,Purchased from Asos a few months ago super cheap and free shipping cant complain,Prefer to start off applying this with my fingers then with my brush to buff out I find it had amazing coverage and as long as you don't use too much like most things...,Love the packaging with the squeeze tube means you can get all the product out but you cant put it back in so be careful with how much you squeeze out.Priming is a must!!!
I am in love with this foundation, at only $17.50 a tube it is such value for money.
It is medium to full coverage and blends beautifully, for an airbrush finish I apply using a damp beauty blender.
It is more of a night time foundation as under sunlight you can start to see the product within an hour and it doesn't sit as nicely as it does in the evening.
Not the greatest color selection but if you can find your shade I would recommend picking some up for nights out or if you are looking for a foundation for a photoshoot.
bought this for 5 dollars from kmarts huge makeup clearance. it was amazing!!! good colour match :) a very tiny pea size manages to cover almost my entire face! super matte, in fact could go without powder if you wanted to but i always use powder anyways for lasting a longer time.
Tips: use your fingers, if you use brush it will be too sheer and since its matte aka more cakey, it has more obvious brush marks
omg the best foundation that i have ever used!!! its so feathery and feels light on my skin. lasts all day without sweating. its completly matte, you only need the tiniest amount and will cover everything, its a full coverage foundation which i live and having oily skin theres no shine or flashback. only warning would be to people with dry flakey skin i dont think it would work on. this is blendable and just amazing for me. It is nearly all il use in my makeup kit and everyone i have introduced it to loves it aswell. I couldnt be more happier with this product and for less than $20 how could you go wrong. it hides imperfections so well.
Tips: use a primer. rimmel also has the matte foundation primer which is for this foundation range and is also fabulous.
This is a amazing product for such a small cost in store at farmers it is only $19nzd so worth it. I find it light weight and easy to wear. But if I apply in the morning then set it with the stay matte powder by mid day I have to blend it out abit as it goes quite patchy but then it lasts all day from there on. So easy to remove.
I recently purchased this product and having read mixed reviews approached it with some caution and not much expectation.
After using it though, I felt it was actually a very good product for the price. The product has a nice creamy consistency, gives you a lovely matte coverage and you don't have to worry about adding any setting powder to it. I felt even on my dry skin, that this works quite well so long as I moisturise with a good moisturiser. The foundation doesn't feel heavy at all and you just have a nice, easy, comfortable foundation that you can wear every day and have in your bag.
Tips: If you have very dry skin, make sure you use a really good moisturiser to make sure your skin doesn't dry out and the foundation goes on smooth. Use a hydrating primer as well to give your skin a beautiful finish once you've completed applying the foundation.
It is a really good upgrade from their old stay matte foundation, it now delivers what it promises. It gives a really matte finish without looking cakey if applied sparingly with a brush. It is NOT the foundation you can quickly put on using your fingers. Only need a small amount to give really good coverage and it keeps the shine at bay. I don't recommend it to dry skin, it is best for oily, acne-prone skin. It didn't break me out.
Tips: Apply sparingly with a damp sponge or with a brush and don't forget to moisturize underneath.;)
