I love this foundation if I want to have a matte face all day, I use a flat top brush and I struggle a little bit to apply this foundation as it very thick and full coverage and basically instantly goes Carey on my face, so I omly need a very small amount! Very good but though, if I am doing an ASOS Orfer I add it to my cart. As it is often on sale for roughly 10 NZD

Tips: Is a very thick mousse formula and I found it caked up my brushes pretty quick!
I bought this in the colour 201 classic beige thinking that this would be an okay colour, the packaging makes it hard to try and copier match so just picked the one I thought would be closest. However this turned out too look very pinky on my skin and it made me look just odd. I mean, I can still use it but I'd have to do some mixing with some other products and even then, it is such a time hassle. However the formula of this is great as it does turn out very matte and is perfect for anyone with oily skin, but be aware that if you have a dry patch, it probably will stick to that and then it becomes very obvious. The formula itself is very thick and not as funny as I prefer my foundations but still works nicely once I mix it with other products
Tips: More for pinky undertones and not yellow
I wear this everyday, simply haven't found anything better in this price range.
Firstly, texture. I am used to wearing quitethick foundations in order to try and provide full coverage of my acne and acne scarring- This is the lightest foundation I have ever found that actually still works! It's a nice, smooth, mousse foundation, which does not cake on like other foundations I could mention. It's super easy to apply, I don't even bother using a brush for this, just gently use my fingers and it goes on nice and evenly.
Secondly, it is matte. Which is fantastic for people like me with oily skin and acne- where dewey foundations just tend to highlight my skin problems, I think this makes them a lot less obvious. Also, because of this matte quality I have found it stays on much better than other products, even in summer when my face is oily AND sweaty!
Price- I have been using this daily for two months, and I still have half a tube left! This is because you seriously only need a tiny amount to provide decent coverage. So it's also a great price!
I was recommended by a friend to try this, and I'm so glad I did. I now recommend it too!
Tips: I pair this with Rimmel's Stay Matte pressed powder- it's the perfect combination for me to stay looking good all (or at least most) of the day!
Whilst the packaging says it is 'feather light' I personally find it quite heavy. Not a bad thing though because I have lumped it in with my other full coverage foundations. It is also advertised as matte, which it isn't. I wish it was, as that was what I was after. On a brighter note, it's super easy to apply and blend in.
Tips: Try and test this product before you buy as I had to go back and purchase in a lighter shade than I normally am. The shades in this foundation really are on the darker side. I looked ridiculous after applying my usual shade of natural beige, like I was off to a gypsy wedding lol
I use this foundation when I want a slightly lighter coverage than my Revlon Colorstay. I love this foundation as it isn't 100% matte (unlike what the name implys), and it makes my skin look healthy & slightly glowy. This covers imperfections & blemishes, without looking cakey or like you have too much makeup on. Overall this is a great lightweight, everyday foundation!
This is one of the very few "mousse" type foundations that I actually love. I dont really have trouble with large pores so I cant comment on that but I love how light weight the formula is and its a great matte finish if Im in the mood for an airbrushed look. I got it from a facebook page new for $8 and ill buy again once im out. Very easy to apply, buildable and long lasting, the only con would be that it wears off around my nose after a few hours, but most foundations I use do that. Love the look of the item and is very durable.
i brought this without a tester and in a hurry, purely because it was $17 at kmart. i have just tried it and im in love! it came out of the tube really thick which made it a little hard to apply. but the coverage is awesome. And even the colour matches great! My new fav!
I think the best way for me to review this product would be in a pros and cons list. So here we go.
Pros: Lasts all day. I wore it for about 9 hours and even after running around after my 2 year old brother on a hot day it hadn't budged. Really amazing coverage. Even though it's a mousse foundation it really didn't feel heavy on my face at all. Definitely a matte finish. I have combo skin and it didn't come up shiny or oily on my T Zone. If you like your foundations in a squeezy tube, this is great and it really lets you control how much you squeeze out of it. You don't need a lot of it. Also the colour matched my skin tone perfectly.
Cons: The tube is really small. Clogged my pores, definitely didn't minimize them at all. Clung to my dry patches really badly. Applied with my flat foundation brush it was very streaky. I tried using my fingers to warm up the product and THEN blend it in with the brush and it still didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Could be better with a different type of applicator though, I will have to experiment some more and see. If you prefer a pump, this isn't great for you. Sort of unsanitary in my opinion.
So this is definitely a good foundation, don't get me wrong. Just for me and my skin type, it really didn't work. If you have maybe normal to oily skin it could be amazing and I would definitely recommend it, but for combo to dry skin I feel like it's not very good.
Tips: Don't apply with a flat foundation brush, makes application very streaky.
I love this foundation with a passion. I purchased it a couple of weeks ago, and took a risk with it after hearing great things and I am in love with it!
The packaging is very cute, and very much suits rimmels style of makeup, the tube is a good size and has plenty of product in it. The foundation is super creamy, and goes on like a dream. It lasts throughout the day, and does not melt off my face, but stays set in place from morning until night. I have an oily skin type, and when I am wearing this foundation you would not know it!
If I were to compare this foundation to another, it is very much like loreals dream matte mousse. However I find that rimmel's one lasts longer during the day, and has a lot more product.
Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a matte finish with medium to full coverage. It is a great affordable foundation.
Tips: Use a good face primer and powder :)
I'm suprised at how much I like this foundation considering I normally don't like mousse textured foundations. Sadly I do think this foundation can be a little heavy on the skin, so I prefer to sheer it out a little by applying with a beauty blender damped with Fix+. Although this reduces the coverage, which is medium-full, it feels much better on the skin than when I apply with a brush. I also feel like more product gets absorbed by the brush than by a sponge which is odd but the foundation is so thick that it clogs the brush bristles! However, paired with the Stay Matte powder this does keep my super oily skin pretty matte during the day. It also doesn't sink into my pores and does give a pretty flawless finish to the skin. It also blends wonderfully in with my skin and the shade Soft Beige is almost a perfect match for my neutral undertone skin.
Tips: Definitely clean your brushes after every use with this foundation as they will get gross very quickly - or just use a sponge!
