Personally I love Rimmell products and when I needed a powder to set down my foundation I bough this in the translucent and oh my. I don't have oily skin but this powder worked wonders on my skin and made my foundation look better and last longer.

Tips: Wrap a hair tie around the product to prevent the lid from coming off in you makeup bag.
I first heard about this product through my best friend, who said she used it to set her foundation and help keep her face matte throughout the day. After hearing good things about it from her, I went and got myself one to try and it has been my go-to everyday powder! I use the translucent pressed powder and it sets my foundation nicely. It also helps to eliminate some shine on the more oily areas on my face (especially my T-zone), considering I have normal to oily/combination skin and those areas tend to get oily most. As my skin can get quite oily at times, the powder doesn't always keep my face matte, and so I have to end up blotting my face, or re-apply the powder back on. However, at the price you pay for this, I would definitely recommend it!
This is perfect for setting your foundation or turning it to a nicer matte finish. I dust it on and do an extra layer around my nose to set my foundation so it doesnt slide. Very light weight and doesnt cake up or flake off on me, which is a plus. Sometimes if im in a rush ill use it just on my face without makeup to take away some of the oil/shine to have a more fresher look. I paid $8 on trademe so well worth it. Its a must in my beauty kit.
This gave a nice matte coverage that lasted maybe four hours tops before I need to touch up. This was the first finishing powder I bought after every vlogger I follow was using it and I figured it had to be good if they were recommending it. My only gripe is the packaging isn't fantastic. I've broken a couple of lids and sometimes they don't stay on. But otherwise, this does a great job of helping you, stay matte!
I have a mixed skin type, combination, plus a lot of red tones to my skin, so i found this to be very good for the coverage of both the red,dry and oily area's on my face. I used a primer underneath first and then applied the powder with a brush and the result was very good.
I got this powder because I wanted an alternative to my more expensive one and I decided to get it in translucent. I have been using it over Rimmel liquid foundation to set it and reduce shine and it does a really good job. I also have just brushed this powder on on it's own to give a light coverage and it performs really well. I do have to reapply a wee swipe of powder more frequently that the more expensive brand I use but you know what at less then a third of the price who cares? By only negative about this product is the packaging. Basically if the lid breaks I'm stuffed. This is, overall, a great powder which even in the translucent shade (can you even class translucent as a 'shade'?) has a better coverage than you would expect!
Defiantly favourite powder for me. I have oily skin and works great to keep me as matte as possible. Has such a nice finish, i usually use over double wear or nars sheer glow and still gives off good results.
I got the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder to go with my Rimmel Foundation.
Picking a pressed powder was an interesting experience as the shade 001 of the powder was transluscent whereas 001 of the foundation was ivory, so I ended up getting 003 in the powder and 001 in the foundation as they were the best colour match. So I would have liked to have seen both an ivory foundation and powder that I instantly knew matched.
When applying the pressed powder it spread smoothly and evenly across the skin, leaving nearly no stray powder unlike loose powder. However unlike loose powder I also didn't get much product or colour. It did however instantly mattify the skin and lock in the foundation for the whole day.
That this powder made my foundation last significantly longer is the one reason I would buy it again.
I felt the packaging was very cheap but I did like the Rimmel logo in the powder.
I don't get too many shine issues, but I believe it would help this too.
I tend to stay away from matte powders as I have quite dry skin, but I'd heard so many people say that they love this product that I felt it might be worth trying. And it definitely was! It does a good job of setting my foundation and it doesn't cling to any dry patches. They were all out of the translucent when I went to buy it so I got peach glow, which I worried would be a bit dark, but actually turned out to be perfect for my very pale skin.
This good stuff lasts all day I don't go shinny super cheap but good quality. I do have to be light handed with this or it can make me look a little cakey
Tips: Be light handed
