I bought Rimmel's Wonder'full Volume Colourist Mascara with lash tint complex in "Black" after reading that it promises to darken bare lashes in two weeks. Who wouldn't want the best of both; being able to wear mascara, and not having to tint lashes separately, as this should do it at the same time, but was it too good to be true?
The jet-black mascara is packaged in a sleek black and shimmery lilac ombre tube, and the tapered wand is easy to use and gives volume, while coating each lash. For those who like to put mascara on their bottom lashes, the tip of the wand is perfect for this.
The first time I used this mascara, I wasn't a fan. The formula was very wet and not pleasant to work with, but after using it every day for a week, the mascara had dried out a little to a consistency that was more creamy than wet, and it was much better to use after that.
Yes, my lashes did appear fuller and longer while wearing the mascara, but were they darker on the odd day when I didn't wear mascara? Well, after three weeks of use, I should have seen results, but honestly, there was absolutely no difference whatsoever. I do have naturally dark lashes, but they're dark at the roots and light, almost blonde at the very tips, and I was really hoping that this mascara would tint those light tips, but it was not to be.
After three months of use, it's time for me to toss this mascara tube, and I'm sad to say that I won't be repurchasing it. Yes, it lived up to the promise of giving instant volume and length, but that was it. The lash tint complex definitely did nothing for me, and didn't wow me enough to make me want to buy another tube or recommend it to anyone else. Maybe this product would work better for someone with blonde or very light brown natural lashes.
Mascara was watery and didn't do anything for my lashes, smelt kind of weird and did not at all tint my lashes! I gave it away after using it twice. I do not reccomend this product.
