I bought Rimmel's Wonder'full Volume Colourist Mascara with lash tint complex in "Black" after reading that it promises to darken bare lashes in two weeks. Who wouldn't want the best of both; being able to wear mascara, and not having to tint lashes separately, as this should do it at the same time, but was it too good to be true?
The jet-black mascara is packaged in a sleek black and shimmery lilac ombre tube, and the tapered wand is easy to use and gives volume, while coating each lash. For those who like to put mascara on their bottom lashes, the tip of the wand is perfect for this.
The first time I used this mascara, I wasn't a fan. The formula was very wet and not pleasant to work with, but after using it every day for a week, the mascara had dried out a little to a consistency that was more creamy than wet, and it was much better to use after that.
Yes, my lashes did appear fuller and longer while wearing the mascara, but were they darker on the odd day when I didn't wear mascara? Well, after three weeks of use, I should have seen results, but honestly, there was absolutely no difference whatsoever. I do have naturally dark lashes, but they're dark at the roots and light, almost blonde at the very tips, and I was really hoping that this mascara would tint those light tips, but it was not to be.
After three months of use, it's time for me to toss this mascara tube, and I'm sad to say that I won't be repurchasing it. Yes, it lived up to the promise of giving instant volume and length, but that was it. The lash tint complex definitely did nothing for me, and didn't wow me enough to make me want to buy another tube or recommend it to anyone else. Maybe this product would work better for someone with blonde or very light brown natural lashes.
I have been using this one for a while now I keep it in my car handy to apply when I'm driving or in passenger side for some nice dark colour and definition. I do get length and some volume with this too. When I first tried it I wasn't impressed and it sat in my drawer for a while but now I find it fairly decent because it does give length and volume without me having to spend alot of time layering it up to get a fan effect. I have short light coloured lashes and suspect that with my continuous use it is tiny them a little which is nice as I feel my eyes are small like my lashes and darkening them gives a nicer look for me and when it's on I get that length and striking dark colour I want the down side is that it does run easily it's definitely not waterproof or a firm staying mascara so it's important to check yourself through out the day as I find within a few hours it has smudged. This is probably the only reason It looses points
