What a cute design! It’s a bulky, unique shaped mascara (probably twice the thickness of the usual mascaras you would see). It’s even coated in a pretty, shiny layer of chrome pink. So here you go pink lovers! The mascara was extremely light-weighted. Even though it’s bulkier than the usual mascara’s, it wouldn’t add much of a weight.
Taking out the wand itself, i noticed the curved applicator tip, and the fine comb-like bristles. The mascara itself seems to have a nice and smooth texture to it, which reminds me of the liquid eye liners. I didn’t see much of tiny black dusty bits or stringy fibres stuck to the bristle. It looked almost clump free, but never know until you try it on... So here it goes!
The comb-like bristles make it a lot easier to prevent too getting too many tiny bits on your lashes. Initially there was too much product on the brush, where i had to scrape it off on the sides of the tube few times. I have long, straight lashes of moderate thickness. The mascara highlighted the length of my lashes, making it more defined, but because my stubborn lashes that takes a lot of effort to curl, i didn’t expect much help from this mascara to keep the curl in shape. Although the mascara didn’t help keep my lashes curled, the mascara didn’t have a lot of the usual flakiness that you see in a lot of mascaras, due to it’s wet texture.
The mascara is buildable so not too difficult to add a more bulky look. However, if i brushed too many layers on my stubborn lashes, the more difficult for me to separate my lashes out, as the mascara builds in thickness rather than length, which straightens my lashes, and will add in that usual sticky tackiness when i blink my eyes, which i find quite uncomfortable. However, the mascara worked nicely on my thinner bottom lashes for some reason. Maybe due to my technique.
It is convenient and easy to remove even with just warm water. Yes, sorry water-proof mascara lovers.. This mascara is not waterproof. But looking on the bright side, It doesn’t adhere strongly to your skin, so it wont smudge out as bad as the usual mascaras that would give you an obvious panda eye when trying to remove your make up or any oopsies. I find removing waterproof eye make up really difficult. A lot of times after removing mascara, i had to scrub and wipe so hard that the skin around my eyes eventually turns red, but it’s not the case for this gentle one.
I love how Rimmel makes and keeps their products at an affordable price to customers. Although, this product wasn’t made for my lashes, i do like the more natural approach of this mascara, as it wasn’t too heavy. And i loved how there’s less flaky bits, as i always found it irritating trying to get rid of the tiny bits that gets into your eye. I wouldn’t recommend it to those who‘s loyal to a dry, fibrous mascara. But i do recommend this mascara for those who wants to further define their long, fine, and naturally curled lashes, but prefer the simple, minimal make up look.
i like the colour of the bottle, its very trendy. easy to open and a nice big handle which makes applying a breeze... that's all the pros i can say about this product because i was very underwhelmed with its formulae and coverage. I have very big, naturally dark eyelashes which in turn makes mascaras look like they work well so it's easy for me to tell a formula that doesnt. this one was well under par with its performance and application. first off it clumped my lashes togther with the first swipe of the horrendous applicator wand. plus it went on my skin while applying which is super annoying if you have all ready to be foundational nd eye stuff. basically its a crappy mascara and i would recommend buying a different one.
Tips: use a disposable wand and see if it works any better.
