I bought this with my farmers beauty points (don't you just love them) and was a little disappointed. One, I think it took too long for the nail polish to be removed, especially glitter. And two, it made my surrounding skin feel dry. I like that it's Acetone-Free but I will probably stick to the health basic brand.

Tips: Apply moisturiser after use.
The remover comes in a clear bottle with a peach lid, and the remover is a pretty peach coloured liquid. It's not the cheapest remover available but it is quite affordable, although it only includes 150mL of product. It has the classic unpleasant nail polish remover smell, but that is to be expected! The polish remover being acetone-free is quite gentle and it doesn't dry out my cuticles or skin surrounding my nails much. It doesn't seem to damage my nails themselves either. However, this says on the front that it's fast but I find this is quite slow to remove polish. While it definitely will remove all polish which is the end result I want, you have to use quite a bit of product to keep it working. It seems to absorb into cotton wool/dry out quickly, so it requires more applications to do the job and more rubbing at the nail than I have experienced with other nail polish removers. I am someone who paints their nails 1-2 times a week, so I've tried a lot of removers and sadly this is not the most efficient. However, it does deliver on being gentle and does the job in the end, Overall, this remover is good if you're looking for acetone-free and something gentle, but this isn't very efficient if you have difficult polish to remove or want polish removed in a rush.
I bought this when I had acrylics, as I was told it wasrreally gentle and perfect to use on them. I like changing my polish regularly so I thought this would be perfect. It's great in that it definitely does remove your polish (l was worried an acetone free formula wouldn't be hefty enough), it also doesn't sting or dry out my skin as much, so that's a plus from me, and I have actually continued to use it for natural nails, but not acrylics. It left the top all gooey and sticky and removed the shiney finish. I wasn't impressed, having said that, they weren't the best acrylics so maybe that's why.
Tips: Maybe talk to your nail tech first if you want to use it on acylics. This is a great one for thin nails or sensitive skin.
I purchased this as I have issues with my nails peeling and splitting and thought an acetone-free formula would be less drying and therefore keep my nails in a nicer condition and help prevent splitting and peeling.
I found this removed my polish just as effectively as my normal acetone based polish remover which is great but unfortunately it did nothing for the condition of my nails and surrounding skin. Using this didn't help with the splitting or peeling of my nails, but in saying that it still did the job so I don't hate it.
It's still an affordable option and does what it's meant to so I wouldn't be against using it in the future, but for now I think I will stick to my health basics removers (also available in both acetone and acetone-free formulas).
Tips: Soak a cotton ball well with the solution and press to the nail for a few seconds before swiping off to remove polish quickly and effectively.
This nail polish remover does get rid of nail polish pretty efficiently but you have to use quite a bit. I had to soak a cotton ball and then press it over my nails for a few seconds for best removal. The smell isn't as bad as some of the other removers I've tried so that's a plus. And it's also nice that it's relatively gentle on your nails.
As far as nail polish removers goes, this is pretty good. Being Acetone free is great for false nails yet gentle and enriched enough for natural nails. This bottle lasts forever. I sometime use this to clean my nails before applying false nails. It helps them bond and stay on longer. Give it a try.
This nail polish remover is so affordable and so perfect! Every time I remove my nail polish this Sally Hansen Acetone-Free Nail Polish Remover does the trick! Unlike other nail polish removers that usually dry out my cuticles this one practically moisturisers them!
First impressions : Honestly the colour of the bottles have always put me off a bit, why is it bright orange? I guess, why not? hah Putting my weirdness aside I bought this after using the acetone version. I wanted to use something a little less harsh.
Product Like most bottled remover I find it really awkward to use without accidentally spilling it once it's used past the point where you can easily dip a q-tip into it. I don't like using cotton buds but it would probably make my life easier. I like the child proof cap although sometimes it can be a pain when you are mid painting your nails and need to do clean ups as it's almost impossible to open one handed so you risk messing up your nails just opening it. (But safety certainly is more important especially with children in the home). Smell wise it's hideous but i'm yet to find a liquid remover that isn't. I do like remover pads because you aren't inhaling nasties but they are far less economical.
Effectiveness : I find it's generally pretty good. I have to work extra hard with glitters but I am yet to find a remover that can easily remove them. It does dry your fingers a bit but I always apply moisturiser afterwards so not a big deal.
Overall : I will use up my current bottle and may then try another brand just for experiments sake but I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.
Tips: Have the bottle open and ready if you plan on doing touch ups mid application! Also open a window as it can be pretty potent.
I really like this nail polish remover, as it doesn't leave my skin around my nails feeling as dry as some others. It does a really good job of removing polish for an acetone free remover, but you do need to use quite a bit to remove the darker colours. All nail polish removers seem to smell horrible, and this one is just as bad unfortunately.
The child-proof lid is a pain to use, as it is ridiculously hard to open, especially in the middle of the nail painting process! The bottle is also quite irritating, as unless you use cotton balls it's sooooo easy to spill everywhere!
Other than those things, the remover itself is good to use and I will probably keep using it.
Tips: Open a window!!
This nail polish remover is definitely not for me. It did a pretty shocking job of removing my nail polish- it seemed to take forever, and involved the use of what seemed like an insane amount of product.
This nail polish remover also really dried out my nails- something that has never happened when I have used remover in the past. It may just be a coincidence, but in the days following my first use of this product my nails began to split and peel; something they haven't done in a long time.
I also really didn't like the smell, it was really over-powering and seemed to stink out the whole room even though I had some windows open.
I am a big fan of Sally Hansen products, but this one really doesn't live up the quality I have come to expect from this brand.
