Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base and Top Coat

I brought this as I have always been a fan of Sally Hansen, and wear their diamond strengthening treatment all the time and that works wonderfully. So after debating paying double the price of other competitive products took the confidence of past experience. It was easy on, the brush was nice to use but the lasting effect was not so good. Applied 1 coat as a base, then popped on a colour followed by 2 of this as top coat. Was very shiny which was wonderful as I love high glossy nails, but after 1 day it chipped and I never did anything too highly excess to warrant this, where as other top coats can last up to 10 days before chipping, so I most definitely wouldn't use again

I LOVE Sally Hansen, and this formula sounded ideal for my brittle, flaky nails, but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It dried nicely and gave AMAZING shine, but it flaked of my bare nails within a day or two (it certainly didn't make them any stronger in the meantime), and wasn't much better over top of nail polish! It did make my polish wear a little longer, but only because it wore/chipped off in its place. I still adore SH, but unfortunately this product doesn't work for me :(

This was the first formula I purchased to help with my soft nails. I found it did make a difference and I was able to grow my nails longer than normal! The results were not as drastic as I was expecting but it definitely does make a difference said from someone with nails that just peel off. I must admit I did apply this product often in the first month I purchased it.

One word: AMAZING! This product is incredible for everyone from nail art technician extraordinaire to the average nail enthusiast. If, like myself you've been looking for something that you can use as BOTH a top and base coat and something that will be beneficial for your nails, this product is it. You can wear it on it's own as just a clear nail varnish or you can use it as the base or the top coat. It gives your nail varnish an unbeatable shine and longevity as well as slowly strengthening your nails as you go. If you wear a lot of nail polish, this product is perfect for you! Wearing too much nail varnish directly onto your nails can cause them to become dry, brittle and discoloured. Sally Hansen Diamond shine acts as a barrier between your nails and the varnish as well as helping your polish last! You genuinely cannot beat it!

While this product does give you a beautiful shine on your nails, the fact that it chips and peels within the day makes it a bit disappointing. I would suggest using it only as a top coat and finding a better base coat that will keep your nails protected from peeling nail polish.

I used this not that long ago and i dont think its that great honestly, i didnt like the way it went on for one and the brush seemed to not fan out at all over the nail..i need but brush to fan! it hasnt really prolonged my nail color either, so i wouldnt bother with this one.

I have been in search for a good top coat for a long time. I decided to give this ago since Sally Hansen has been around a long time.

To be honest I wasn't overwhelmed. It went on ok, however it tends to make the nailpolish go a little uneven. I also found the polish did not last.

I wouldn't say not to use it, but if it was between this and another brand I would probably advise the other brand.

Does give a really shine as a top coat but didnt prolong my nail colour or prevent chipping any better than a lesser known cheaper brand. I like alot of other Sally Hansen products but this one was disappointing especially for the price paid .

Good quality product however the strength isn't quite that of diamonds as it can peel off. Nevertheless still a quality product but quite expensive for what it is
