Sally Hansen Hard as Nails

I have a lot of issues with my nails spliting and cracking, so I decided to try Sally Hansen's As Hard As Nails in hopes that over time my nails might become a little stronger.

To apply it, you apply it just like you would any standard clear nail polish. It has a standard nail brush and is pretty much the same consistancy as nail polish. It drys quickly and forms a clear shiny layer.

However after applying it every week for 3 months I have seen no signs of improvement. My nails still split and crack and all the Hard As Nails does is act like a nail glue to hold the 2 pieces of nail together.

Would I repurchase? No. Although it dried quicker than most of my clear nail polishes, I don't wear clear nail polish often enough to buy it for that purpose.

This comes in a small bottle like clear nail polish with a brush in the lid. It is easy to use and looks like a thin coat of clear polish but does make your nails feel hard however I found. my nails became very brittle and cracked easier that before. I was disappointed as I ended up with more broken nails that before and I felt overall this product does not benefit the health of the nails.I felt for $16 this is overpriced and not effective.

I didn't find this really worked that well, and found that it flaked off really quick. I find olive oil is the best for preventing splits and also hardens them.

I have always had issues with really soft nails that will split or break as soon as they get a tiny bit of length on them, so I'm always excited to try something that will give me those gorgeous, must-lusted after talons.

It's a beautiful polish that goes on well, and the smell isn't too overpowering like some of the other hardeners. While I was wearing the polish it really did make my nails a lot stronger.

The downside was as soon as I removed the polish, there wasn't really any difference in my actual nail - still quite soft and prone to splitting.

Brilliant product if you just need a hand growing your nails, however not a long term solution

I brought this to help strengthen my nails and I do not think that it really helped my strengthen my nails that much however I did not notice it making them weaker either as others have mentioned. I do think that it is a nice base coat and is a really nice easy product to use with a brush size that is a good size

I've applied this on multiple occassions to help my brittle nails. Some others have recommended to apply every day and then remove after a week, but my nails weren't any stronger than before.

I found it to be ok it did help the chipping but my nails are very soft and didn't really harden them at all

This is a good product which has helped improve the strength of my nails. It is easy to apply, a very smooth, relatively thin consistency. The brush is great, and allows you to apply the treatment in one stroke to each nail. Because it is clear and quite thin, you don't have to worry about getting it on the skin around your nails, it simply wipes off. It has nice a nice sheen to it, and after a few applications my nails feel harder and stronger. The only downside is that because of its thin consistency it has a tendency to flake off after a few days.

I liked this, and it did make my nails harder. I used it either alone or as a base coat under polish.

However for the price, it's pretty basic and I think it made my polish chip faster. I now use Sally Hansen Nail Rehab or an Orly product that kind of does the same thing. I'll use this up, but won't repurchase.

I found this product to be great at first. Gave my nails a lovely manicured look and they felt stronger! However, if you don't take it off it peels off, taking the top coat of your nail with it!! My nails were left dry and flaky. Not nice :(
