This range has some beautiful colours and Sally Hansen is coming out with some more every time I go back to look. I first tried this range as the 2 piece set. The colour and the setting polish. I don't know if its just me or they start to crack after a few days of wear. Not chip but crack. It happened with my first bottle so I decided to try another incase I just got a dud. Sadly the cracking continued and I do not recommend this range for long term wear. The colours are beautiful but I prefer my polishes to last a little longer.

I received the shade Flower Crown and the Miracle Gel Top Coat in the Best of Summer Box. It's pretty, delicate shade of pastel pink with a mauve undertone. I really liked the color. The bottle is easy to grip and I liked the wide brush which makes it easier to paint your nails with fewer brush strokes. The polish went on smoothly but I did need at least two coats to get the color to show up enough. The time it took for it to dry was average but then of course it takes longer to set. Then I applied the top coat and it gave my manicure a very glossy finish that I really love. The first day I had good wear, second day I got a minor chip and the third day more chipping and from there my manicure got tackier. I was hoping this would last longer than my other polishes but I guess when you wash dishes, cook, clean and do housework then it's unlikely any nail polish will stay chip free for more than two days. I may or may not get more shades. I heard the darker shades reviewed better and I have the top coat that meant to be paired with this line of polish.
Tips: I would recommend you use the the top coat that's specially designed for this line of polish so you might want to factor that in the costs when you first purchase this.
Pretty bright orange colour comes in the standard shape sally hansen bottle with a band around the lid which I think is a nice touch.
The brush is flat which always makes it easier for applications I find the polish is thinner than other polishes I have used and need at least 2 or 3 coats to get a good even colour.
The polish lasted me 4 days before it started to chip.
I purchased this from a bargain bin at an Australian pharmacy whilst on holiday as I thought it would be a good opportunity to test the waters with this particular product.
The shade itself is very shimmery and quite opaque, therefore only requiring a couple of light coats. It's also eyecatching yet subtle which makes it quite a versatile shade.
The brush is very flat and when combined with the thick formula of the polish makes for very easy application. Application is virtually mess free and I didn't find myself getting polish on my skin (a steady hand isn't my strong point!) as I do with other polishes. I wish more nail polishes came with similar brushes as I actually prefer the flatter style compared to the thinner brushes of other brands (e.g. OPI, Revlon). It also dried very quickly, hence it is great if you're in a rush.
My only downside with this polish was the longevity - despite the product being marketed as Sally Hansen's "ultimate chip-resistant nail polish", I encountered chips after 1-2 days. This was actually quite a lot less than other non-gel products I've used e.g. OPI, Revlon and ChiChi. I've also used Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy and had much better experience regarding chipping.
Despite the chips, I will likely try more shades in this range as the application is so simple and great when you're pressed for time.
Tips: The formula is quite thick so you don't need much on your brush and seems to dry best using two thinner coats :)
I had big expectations with this products I unfortunately felt underwhelmed. The brush on mine where quite uneven so I didn't get straight lines. The colour came out very sheer and very streaky. It took quite a long time to set before I could put a second coat on. Longer then a normal posh. The top coat is the one that hardens faster with natural light, it did what is said it's meant too.
I picked ups duo set at the warehouse it came with clear coat. I was excited to try it because of all the great reviews about it.
I got Birthday suit which is a creamy white colour . Bottle shape is cool . Brush is full with bristles. Easy to read labelling. Consistency of the polish itself is quite thick .
First coat dries opaque. Second coat was still opaque. I put three coats on each nail . Took 25 minutes between the second and third coat.
I noticed it began to crack on the second day . It chipped of easily I couldn’t believe it. I was expecting it to last up to a week . I put the clear coat on top made no difference.
I’m hoping to try other colours for a different result. Hopefully I will have a better result.
Sally Hansen's products are amazing! Love the brush the polish comes on. Love the colours and love how long it lasts. Which for nail polish, it does last a while. I wouldn't say it's "GEL" polish though. As a Flight Attendant, this was the products only down fall for me. For nail polishes always chip off, this product is no different. Wish it was GEL because than I know, it would stay on, especially when I am working in the galleys at work.
I got this as a gift with purchase from our local Farmers store. It came as a two pack of step 1 gel colour and step 2 gel top coat. The colour is Flower Crown, a light pretty pink. I had never used gel nail colour on my nails before so I was interested in how it worked compared to standard nail colours. It was very easy to apply, with a nice long brush, I used two coats and waited for it to fully dry before applying the final top coat, which took a good 30mins to dry. I found it did last longer than normal polish, it started to chip after about a week of wearing so not to bad I guess. The pack I got also came with a remover pottle you just dip your nail in and twist to remove polish which works really well. I still use this polish regularly but prefer to just use nail polish on my toe nails so it's great on them and lasts weeks that way.
Nice easy and convenient polishes to get the gel look without the hassle of curing or a trip to get a manicure (or the cost!). I love Sally Hansen polishes, but find the colour range in the Miracle Gel Polish range pretty boring - nice colours, but nothing special.
Individually priced, they compare to other good quality polishes, but much better value to buy in a kid (colour + top coat). I do use the top coat over regular polishes too.
As with pretty much any polish I use, this starts to wear at the end of my acrylic nails after 4-5 days, but is easily freshened up with another coat of colour and topcoat.
I've two of these, one a creamy nude color and one a dark fushia/reddish color. The nude is perfect for those with fair skin and looks perfect for all occasions. The dark fushia is a little more bold and out there so I've only worn it twice.
When I first got this I didn't realise you had to use it with the top coat that it came with. I tried a quick dry top coat because I was in a rush. BAD IDEA! Always use the top coat that it comes with because turns out, it doesn't 'turn' into a gel polish unless you put that top coat on.
Once I finally used it like I should've, I found it was literally a miracle. Application was super smooth and opaque, and there was just a tiny bit of streakiness on the first coat. The finish was glossy and didn't lose its shine. Surprisingly, the drying time is just like a standard polish.
I've never had actual UV gel polish done so I can't compare it to a real gel set, but it definitely lasts way longer than your normal polish. Even my favourite polishes can't compare to the strength of this. The last time I used it, I remember after 5 days I started to notice super fine hairline cracks in the nails, and by I think just over a week I got the first chip. I ended up taking it off with nail polish remover after 9-10 days but if I weren't fussy about little chips it could probably last 2 weeks. Removal was really easy too and it came off just like your normal nail polish would.
Another thing I liked a lot was how strong and hard these felt. It was almost like having a protective shell over my nails.
