I love having my nails done nicely. BUT that usually means just having my nails filed and buffed neatly because I cannot be bothered having to touch up my nail polish every day or two. Thankfully I don't have that problem anymore. This polish comes in a great range of colours. Plus the fact you only need the colour and then the top coat is awesome - no base needed! I love the brush, instead of being rounded it is in a line which makes the polish so much easier and tidier to apply. It is also around the same price as normal nail polish - I don't know why anyone would use regular polish anymore :) xx

Tips: Just do as the bottles say - 2 coats of colour, 1 coat of top coat and ta dah!
I've two of these, one a creamy nude color and one a dark fushia/reddish color. The nude is perfect for those with fair skin and looks perfect for all occasions. The dark fushia is a little more bold and out there so I've only worn it twice.
When I first got this I didn't realise you had to use it with the top coat that it came with. I tried a quick dry top coat because I was in a rush. BAD IDEA! Always use the top coat that it comes with because turns out, it doesn't 'turn' into a gel polish unless you put that top coat on.
Once I finally used it like I should've, I found it was literally a miracle. Application was super smooth and opaque, and there was just a tiny bit of streakiness on the first coat. The finish was glossy and didn't lose its shine. Surprisingly, the drying time is just like a standard polish.
I've never had actual UV gel polish done so I can't compare it to a real gel set, but it definitely lasts way longer than your normal polish. Even my favourite polishes can't compare to the strength of this. The last time I used it, I remember after 5 days I started to notice super fine hairline cracks in the nails, and by I think just over a week I got the first chip. I ended up taking it off with nail polish remover after 9-10 days but if I weren't fussy about little chips it could probably last 2 weeks. Removal was really easy too and it came off just like your normal nail polish would.
Another thing I liked a lot was how strong and hard these felt. It was almost like having a protective shell over my nails.
The original claim was that the polish would last 2 weeks, so I was dying to try it. Having 3 boys to chase after my polish is lucky if it lasts a day!
The double pack is good value as you get the top coat and the colour for $19.99, whereas one polish is $16.99. It's a little bit annoying that some colours only come in the pack though.
The packaging is good, the bottle shape is a little different to normal and I like how the lid is easier to grip as it is sort of rubbery.
The brush is great, it makes the application easy as it is wider and flatter than a lot of other polish brushes that I have. One of the colours I have requires one coat and then the top coat, the other needs two before the top coat.
It definitely didn't last as long as the claims, but I was still impressed with the wear. After 4 days the very tips started to chip a little, but I was able to fill it in a little bit and it lasted a couple more days.
All up - I really like it and I'm impressed enough to still be looking at getting more colours.
Tips: When the tips chip fill it in - or turn it into a french manicure design.
I purchased a few of these after reading online reviews (I had high expectations) I purchased: Top Coat, Get Mod (450), Birthday Suit (110), Pinky Promise (160) and Malibu Peach (380). My favourite is probably Pinky promise its similar to OPI Mod about you. The Good: These are amazingly easy to apply and remove (regular nail polish remover works like a dream), the look lovely and shiny when applied (not as glossy as gel from the salon though. They are a decent price for the quality and the colour range is very good - it's even better if you buy from the US.
The Bad: That being said, the polish did not perform as well as I expected it to! I followed the instructions religiously and had corners peeling after day two on my thumbs and index fingers :( I have kept trying to make these work because I bought so many. It definitely helps if you cap the edges of your nails and wait for each layer to dry. I have got them to last 5 days at most and thats witth reapplying to my index and thumb (the other nails seem to last fine!).
Overall: They last better than regular nail polish just not AS well as I'd hoped!
Tips: Make sure to follow instructions and paint over the edges, it nail polish normally lasts longer than 2 days on you this will work perfectly for you (I usually get 1 or 2 days with regular polish)
I brought this when I was trying to save some moolah for a trip away and had stopped going to get my gel manicures regularly. I found that the product dried very quickly, was highly pigmented and I loved the fact you didn't have to use a base coat! The colours are vibrant and once the top coat was applied super glossy! They lasted well but not as long as a gel manicure but much longer than my normal nail polishes. I love the product the only downfall is that my top coat when thick very quickly and I had to buy another bottle as it And an added bonus was the actual brush for the polish, it was wider than normal and made applying nail polish quick and easy, providing a streak-free and flawless application!
I do love this stuff. I have it in the colour 'creme de la creme', and have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed on my first time trying it. I couldn't get an even coverage no matter what I tried, so I wore it for a couple of days and took it off. I tried again a few days later, and left a lot more time between coats and managed to get a really nice even application. I think it's because of it being such a light colour, I need to try a darker shade. Wear time, I would say I go a few more days out of it than regular polish, so definitely worth using. I'm not a huge fan of the shape and size of the brush, it's a bit firm and short for my liking, but it did the trick and after a bit of getting used to I don't hate it. All in all a good product I think.
I've got a few of these and I love the colors, the process and the lasting nature of them. Yes you won't get 14 days unless you leave your hands in a bubble for two weeks but let's be honest...if you've ever had gel nails you get sick of the colour by the time two weeks are up. If you're like me you'll also start picking them off...
I think this gives almost a good week before the nails need redone. They're still presentable and I don't find that my nails are damaged after using this product like they are with gels.
I'm already planning on buying more colors! Love this product.
Sally Hansen's products are amazing! Love the brush the polish comes on. Love the colours and love how long it lasts. Which for nail polish, it does last a while. I wouldn't say it's "GEL" polish though. As a Flight Attendant, this was the products only down fall for me. For nail polishes always chip off, this product is no different. Wish it was GEL because than I know, it would stay on, especially when I am working in the galleys at work.
I like a sheer finish to my nails that looks glossy and slightly creamy but not highly coloured. A natural but polished look. And for me, this nail polish achieves that perfectly IF I apply just one coat. (I have it in 'Birthday Suit', which looks sort of nude-tan in the bottle but ends up a soft ivory on my nails, which I love.)
With one coat: The brush is great, soft enough to avoid streaks but firm enough for good control, and the formula is creamy without being too thick, so applies beautifully as long as you don't overload the brush. (I definitely use less product with this than I do with other nail polishes.) It dries really fast. Almost immediately actually. And it easily lasts more than a week, even if I'm gardening.
With two coats: Maybe it's just me, but I found it really hard to get a clean, glossy finish. It was all streaks and globs. And it took a while to dry. It probably lasts well, but I wouldn't know. I removed it and did it again - with just one coat :)
I'm delighted with it, but for people who want stronger colour and an opaque finish, I'm not so sure.
Tips: Apply really thinly.
I bought 2 colours Street flair-a pretty lilac Tan-acious- a nude I followed the instructions and applied 2 coats of colour and then the top coat. The polish dried quite quickley and looked awesome with the top coat. Quite glossy. The test came when I went to work and did my usual stuff. I am happy to say it lasted 8 days. Wow! I was so pleased with this result. It comes off with your usual nail polish remover,so easy. I will be buying more amazing colours.
