Absolutely love these. So, I am not the best at doing a wing liner nor a dark eye look when in a rush. These shadow shields save the stress and make everything a lot more effortless. I have a hooded outer eye so I find it difficult to apply a quick line unless I know I can remove it if necessary. Apply these under the eye in an angle upwards and draw your liner against it and don't worry if you draw on the shield with your powders or liquid liners because it comes clean off. If you have applied your concealer or foundation before hand under the eye it will come off with the adhesive, but don't worry you can quickly blend your concealer back under for a flawless eye. Extremely easy to use and very well written instructions on the packaging. They may seem pricey to begin with but you do get 30 in a pack which is quite a lot and if time is money for you then they are defiantly worth the investment. Will be fantastic for the holiday season when you have a lot of events to attend and want to use more dramatic eye looks. Yes, I will be purchasing these again in the future They work and they work well.

Tips: Be gentle when you remove these as they are under your eye on delicate skin. Cut in half to use as a liner guide when you don't need to catch too much dark shadow.
I use to have the worst makeup days trying to create a cat-eye look or even wings (liner). I had seen a few YouTubers rave about this product and thought "I need those in my life". I was able to pick mine up throught BR Vault. I find they work better than your normal sticky-tape trick. I use them when ever I want to create a cat-eye or if I want my wings to be perfect.
PROS: Quick Easy The texture of the top part is almost like a waffle pattern so if you have fall out it is often held in the grooves. No damage to the under-eye area.
CONS: They tend to be too long for what you need. The adhesive side can remove foundation or concealer (I tend to do my face makeup after my eyes when using the shadow shields).
Tips: I cut one shield in half to use for both eyes as I find that works for my eye size/ shape. May need to touch up concealer or/ and foundation as the adhesive will probably remove it.
I purchased these when I was first getting into eye shadow, because I had absolutely no idea what I was doing! I found that these Shadow Shields were really helpful for figuring out where eye shadow should be applied. I still have some of these floating around in my makeup bag, but I no longer use them because I don't really need them anymore.
These are shaped like a half circle with a curved part that fits under your eye. One side is adhesive and that's the part that goes against your skin, while the other side feels like fabric. There are four separate sections that you can pull off so you can stick it to your face. The best way to use them is to remove the two top corners of the backing, and apply it as close to the bottom of your eye as possible. This way you won't remove too much foundation/concealer when you go to remove the shields. However I preferred to do my eye shadow first when using these, so that there was no way I would mess up the rest of my makeup.
Not only were these good to use as a guideline for doing eye shadow, they were also good for stopping fallout from getting on the rest of my face. I did try them once to get a really sharp cat-eye wing with black liquid liner, but I couldn't get it to work with the Shadow Shields. The liner always seemed to leak under the shield, so the line was wonky instead of being neat. Perhaps it would work better with gel liner, since that is usually less watery.
I would definitely suggest these to anyone who is struggling with applying eye shadow or if your sick of getting fallout all over your face.
These nifty little pads come in a pack of 30 shields. This gives you 15 application per pack. At $18 a pack, these aren't for your every day no-makeup makeup look. But when you want big smoky eyes or perfect winged liner, these are amazing.
The design of the shields is really clever. They are easy to apply and stay on your face as long as you need. Once applied, the bottom of the shield curves out which lets it pick up any fall out and keeps your foundation safe.
These help make a beautiful winged cats eye. It's like using a piece of tape but these shields have less adhesion to your skin so they're more comfortable. I sometimes have a few issues with them coming loose if I have them up super close to my eye to try and get a really neat line, but this is mostly to do with application and a bit of trial and error is all that's needed to find the best place to put them.
When I do a dark smoky eye with these shields, they end up filthy. It's so satisfying seeing all the dark eyeshadow that isn't all over your face. These would be great for applying glitter or pigments which will spread all over your face if you're not careful.
Overall I think these are really neat, the biggest downside is the price which puts me off using them for every day. For heavy makeup though, these are life savers.
Tips: Great if you're in a hurry and won't be able to fix eyeshadow all over your face (we've all been there)
These are one of the best creations made for make up lovers! Especially if you love wearing heavy eye makeup or those sharp crisp liners. They are even great for beginners who are trying to perfect that perfect winged liner!
I have seen these on social media but never thought of purchasing these myself, I thought these would be just like expensive sellotape with a flap, so never thought these would be any good. But I was wrong! I apologize for thinking this in the first place. I saw these in the last Beauty vault and thought I would see what the buzz was about these especially since they were used for trials and the reviews were really good!
You can see alot of time and effort has gone into making these, it has 3 sticky parts and you have a choice of how much you want to remove, it sticks on to your skin very well and it stays strong and secure until you remove it. If its too hard you can always place it on your hand to remove some of the stickiness before you place it under your eye.
The curved edge gives you a much better angle for your eye and there are many ways to place this to give you certain looks. My 2 favorite ways are:
1: Applying it directly under my lashline to give the sharpest cats eye & winged liner, it really opens your eyes and I get the perfect liner every time I use these.
2. I add it half a centimeter under my eyelid to get the sultry smokey eye. I can apply eye shadow under my eyes and it gives a more precise and accurate amount of color under my lash line without over doing it. Then once I have removed the Shadow shield I drag my fluffy brush underneath to slightly soften the edge.
The Shadow shields are convenient and time saving, I normally apply my foundation last because I am used to removing fall out from eye shadow but I don't need to worry anymore. I can apply my foundation first and not worry.
I am so glad I got these, (Thank you Beauty review) I will definitely be purchasing more of these!
I was excited to pick these up in the vault as I am useless at free hand wings.
The backing is separated into several bits so you can peel off a small amount where it's going to suit you to stick it on.... I kind of don't see the point. But I guess it's going to be handy for someone else.
I found them just a bit too hard on the adhesive side of things. When I pulled it off, it almost pulled my skin with it on bare skin. Overtop of foundation, these will take the foundation with it.
Maybe not really for me as I apply my foundation before I do my eyes.
I actually just found them a bit too fiddly & difficult to use. I did not achieve the wing I was hoping for.
I'm going to have a few more tries with them to see if maybe it gets easier. I probably wouldn't bother purchasing them again really.
