I use to have the worst makeup days trying to create a cat-eye look or even wings (liner). I had seen a few YouTubers rave about this product and thought "I need those in my life". I was able to pick mine up throught BR Vault. I find they work better than your normal sticky-tape trick. I use them when ever I want to create a cat-eye or if I want my wings to be perfect.
PROS: Quick Easy The texture of the top part is almost like a waffle pattern so if you have fall out it is often held in the grooves. No damage to the under-eye area.
CONS: They tend to be too long for what you need. The adhesive side can remove foundation or concealer (I tend to do my face makeup after my eyes when using the shadow shields).
I purchased these when I was first getting into eye shadow, because I had absolutely no idea what I was doing! I found that these Shadow Shields were really helpful for figuring out where eye shadow should be applied. I still have some of these floating around in my makeup bag, but I no longer use them because I don't really need them anymore.
These are shaped like a half circle with a curved part that fits under your eye. One side is adhesive and that's the part that goes against your skin, while the other side feels like fabric. There are four separate sections that you can pull off so you can stick it to your face. The best way to use them is to remove the two top corners of the backing, and apply it as close to the bottom of your eye as possible. This way you won't remove too much foundation/concealer when you go to remove the shields. However I preferred to do my eye shadow first when using these, so that there was no way I would mess up the rest of my makeup.
Not only were these good to use as a guideline for doing eye shadow, they were also good for stopping fallout from getting on the rest of my face. I did try them once to get a really sharp cat-eye wing with black liquid liner, but I couldn't get it to work with the Shadow Shields. The liner always seemed to leak under the shield, so the line was wonky instead of being neat. Perhaps it would work better with gel liner, since that is usually less watery.
I would definitely suggest these to anyone who is struggling with applying eye shadow or if your sick of getting fallout all over your face.
