Shiseido Perfect Hydrating BB Cream Review

At first i decided to be brave and purchase the medium shade, just to give my freckles and sun spots some extra coverage. Oops, wrong decision. On initial application.. i thought the BB cream was had too much of a yellow cast.. The cream itself had a nice light and smooth consistency, which was easy to spread onto the skin. To me it didn’t feel sticky nor oily, but more on the matte end. It blends very well onto the skin so you can apply powder as soon as you finish applying the bb cream. However, due to the matteness of it, i don’t recommend it for those with very dry skin. Although it didn’t dry out my skin, it didn’t feel very hydrating either. Before i use it, i would have to put on a moisturiser or an extra layer of SPF.

Initially i thought the yellow tone would eventually lighten up on my face after blending in with my skin tone... but after a few hours.. the shade on my face still looked a bit too yellow for me. However, it does feel very natural on the skin due to it’s light consistency... and It does give your skin the nice healthy glow. I can imagine it would probably give a nice even tone for those using the right shade. The lighter shade probably would have been better for me.

I recommend this product for those who enjoys using slightly more yellow tones, and i also think it would also suit those with slightly oily skin.

Overall.. not a bad bb cream.. but not amazing for the coverage either.

Like my title says- I LOVE shisiedo but unfortunately I didn't really love this bb cream. In saying that I also didn't hate it but just found it a bit ho-hum.

It's a good sized tube, and price wise I found it affordable. The shade was nice, a good neutral shade, not too warm or too cool and coverage was excellent for a bb cream . What I didn't like so much was the finish, I found it too matte for what I would expect from a bb cream. It also didn't feel particularly moisturising and I found I needed a lot more that I was expecting to get it to spread around nicely. I don't think I would buy it again as I've since tried another couple of brands that have met my expectations.

The small silver tube this come it is nice and attractive an easy to open screw top lid. As the tube is plastic it's easy to squeeze a small amount of this light easy to smear around cream. A SPF 30 as well is such a bonus. A very light fragrance.

I always moisturise first as I have dry skin and it just sucks anything in, I have found the coverage of this is nice and light and evens out my skin tone with a little glow while not blocking up my pores.

For travel or for a lighter look or just under foundation, maybe just a little bit of powder over top or on top of a heavy sunblock it stayes the day gives me a nice feeling skin that's evened out I'm on my second tube, it lasts I've found this value for my money.

This BB cream gives light to medium coverage without looking cakey. The shade is perfect for my yellow undertoned skin. I have fair/medium skin tone. Very blendable and the texture feels really good. The finish is semi-matte and looks really natural. Absolutely love this BB cream.

This is an amazing BB cream for those with Asian skin! Firstly, it goes on quite naturally for yellow-toned skin, which is great because more BB creams sort of make you like unnaturally whiter but still kind of yellowy underneath it all which looks weird. Secondly, if you're sensitive, it's virtually got no fragrance and is quite a mild cream. Some creams make my skin get a bit rashy, but Shiseido's done a really good job. Thirdly, it's matte. I really dislike BB creams that sort of stay shiny on your skin. A good BB cream should be easy to blend and look natural on you, like you don't have any makeup on, but still a bit more flawless than you were without the BB cream. Its opaque matteness is perfect for covering up blemishes subtly. Best of all, it's long-lasting. It's still all there at the end of a long (and sometimes disgustingly sweaty) day so you don't need to worry about it somehow melting off your face. All in all, a great BB cream. Loving it!

I love this bb cream!! Its light and doesnt face filling or oily like other products ive used, i love putting this on after ive cleansed and feeling ready to go anywhere and nit be ashamed of my blemishes!!! (That are no longer there)
