This highlighter is extremely popular especially amongst you tubers and the reason why is because its a magnificent product! I have tried this in champagne pop and it made me feel like a Greek goddess when wearing it! I am never disappointed with Becca products, they are a bit pricier but the quality is top-notch and always is long-lasting. A lot of highlighters give a real strobe-like disco ball effect but I prefer a more natural glimmer like glow and radiance. It is good on any skin tone and the powder is super fine so not cakey, it morphs into your skin. It looks like you have fine dust particles on your face which sparkle in the sun.

Tips: Buy it now!
The first (and currently only) Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector I owned was the Limited Edition Parisian Lights shade. Shimmering skin perfector is just a fancy name for highlight. I got sent an email from a makeup store and saw it The Parisian lights shade advertised and decided I just couldn't live without it! It is a beautiful pinky peachy gold highlighter with Paris Scene of the Eiffel Tower and stars embossed into it. SO BEAUTIFUL! And I decided I needed to have it.
This is probably the best highlighter I own! It looks gorgeous in the pan and just as good on the skin. It comes in a sturdy, shiney silver compact with a mirror, very handy when on the run! The product itself is lovely and light. It picks up well on the brush without much kick back. It applies nice and light and leaves your skin with a beautiful, shimmerry highlight. The shimmer particles aren't too big, it's more soft and light leaving a beautiful natural look on the skin.
You can build this up really easily and it blends well. It also lasts all day or night! The only down side of this product is the price, it's certainly not cheap but it is definitely one of my favorites!
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector was my first dive into highlighers, and boy, I was not disappointed.
I picked it up in shade 'Moonstone' and I never looked back. I don't really have anything negative to say about this highlighter. It's so buildable and blendable, you can use it for a daily glow or for as an intense strobing highlight for a night out.
I've tried many highlighters over the subsequent years, but BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector will always be in my heart (and periodically, in my makeup rotation)!
I bought the mini version of this along with the liquid form in Opal and all I can say is “WOW”. The packaging is so so and I have to admit I was quite underwhelmed by it considering the price but it is nice and slim so easy for travel. The product itself is quite soft and a light hand is needed when using a brush but a little goes a long way. I have many brands of highlighter and just assumed this would be just like the others but just one swipe and I was blown away. This just somehow looks natural and there is no visible streak to the skin which I always seem to get with other highlighters. It just glides on and almost melts into the skin. I could imagine this suiting more fair to medium skin tones but if you don’t mind a blinding highlight then could work for darker ones too. This product lasts about 8 hours on my face and doesn’t fade at all. This is officially my new favourite product and I can’t wait to try other colours.
Tips: Looks great on the eyes too over a matte base, just be sure to use a setting spray.
This little gem is not for the faint of heart! If you prefer a natural "lit from within glow" then this product might not be for you. I purchased this product in shade "opal" and it is the perfect in between champagne/bronze shade, it has a gold glow but is undetectable until it hits the light. I dont really like products with glitter but i find the more this powder is worked into the skin, the more glassy and less glittery is becomes. I also love applying this with a wet sponge on the very tips of the high points for a super blinding glow!!! Love, love, love!
I have the pressed highlighter in the shade moonstone, and I have light- medium skin
I love love love this highlighter so much I bought a back up. It's a wee bit pricey, but it is so worth it. The formula is incredibly soft and smooth and buttery. It is not gritty or chunky or glittery- it has the most beautiful sheen and this particular shade is a perfect natural looking highlighter for my skin tone ( not too white, not too golden). I find that the colour is a bit warmer than The Balm's mary-lou manizer, and definitely more intense, and is just overall better quality ( but the balm is still a great alternative at a cheaper price)
After swooning over the Becca eyeshadow whilst keeping a tight grasp on my wallet, I decided to purchase a set that contained a mini Opal highlighter and cream highlight. The cream highlight was gifted to a friend and the pressed shimmering skin perfector has stayed firmly in my collection. I have a fair-medium skin tone depending on whether I have used fake tan. Out of all of Becca's shades, Opal seems to be the most universal. It is pigmented and noticeable, but not glittery, and can be blended out for a more subtle, lit-from-within glow. This particular shade is described as golden opal - I consider it a mixture between a champagne and rose gold. This product packs a punch in the pigmentation department, yet remains soft, buttery and finely milled. It is certainly the most luxurious of my highlighters. Because of its formula, it can be applied with a brush or even your finger.
The Becca highlighters come with a high price tag, however this is reflected in the quality of the product. Being a highlighter, a little goes a long way. The mini size is a great option if you are waving your Wayne Goss fan brush cautiously.
Tips: Treat this with care - like most highlighters, it will shatter easily.
This highlighter was not as blinding as I expected it to be. My skin tone is light-medium and this shade is suppose to be the second lightest highlighter.
Moonstone is very similar to The Balms Mary-Lou Manizer, but a bit more translucent and a bit more of a white-gold undertone.
I will continue using this, but it is not my favourite.
I have a mini pan of the opal highlighter that I got in a duo set with a liquid highlight too. Highlighter isn't something you use a lot of or go through quickly so I totally recommend buying this mini set. I think it's around $35 for both compared to $50+ for the full size pan.
I love how cute this little pan looks. Unfortunately it doesn't come in the cool spaceship looking becca packaging, mines just a plain brown compact with becca written across the top. This does up securely and is easy to open as well. It even has a mini mirror in it. I don't usually use mirrors in compacts but this could come into handy at some stage if I ever needed a quick highlight check.
The powder looks perfect even just in the pan. It looks so shimmery and just tempting to touch. Opal is a beautiful gold shade without being too intense on the gold. This isn't glittery at all either. I didn't actually think this shade would work well for my light skin because I've tried other golds and they have been too much. This highlights my skin with a gold sheen without looking like I've got a gold stripe on. The powder feels so creamy and it blends so well when I use my finger or if I use a brush. Now, while I say this isn't too intense on my skin tone, this isn't a subtle highlight. When you put this on, you are going to glow. I love how it looks when I first apply it and I love even more how it looks when I apply setting spray over my face. It intensifies this highlight even more. This lasts beautifully on my skin and I don't need to reapply at all.
I think this shade would work well for light and medium skin tones. I'm not sure if it would work on darker skins, it might be too light? Becca has heaps of different shades of highlight though, so I'm sure there is something to suit everyone.
I can't imagine actually using up this little pan but I sure as heck would repurchase it! I don't ever want to be without this.
I’ve been wearing this Becca highlighter in shade Opal for several years now. The creamy texture glides on to the skin and blends well. This highlighter can be applied lightly for a more natural daytime glow, or layered for a more dramatic glow.
Tips: Apply with the fingers as the warmth from the skin helps to blend the highlighter and use a setting powder to finish.
