I made sure I got TWO of these at Sephora and I've just finished the first one nine months later. I've used it sparingly. I've got oily lids so primer is a must for me.
This primer doesn't cover coloration on lids btw. It comes out of the tube on an applicator. I like to dab the applicator and then spread with my ring finger evenly.
The packaging does pick up other makeup on hands etc like all NARS products but I find some micellar water on a cotton pad cleans it up again.
As for staying power - I can go into a spin class wearing a full face of makeup and come out with my eyeshadow still perfect. It is that good. Nothing budges.
I wouldn't recommend this for dry lids. The product itself is quite drying after hours of wear.
I bought this a wee while ago as my usual Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion was coming to an end. I had heard a lot of good reviews of this product on youtube in particular from missglamorazzi (Ingrid Nilsen) who claims to have incredibly oily eyelids.
The packaging of this is very practical. It is kind of like a lip gloss. It has an opaque white bottom part, and a black lid in the usual NARS packaging that attracts finger marks like nothing else. The applicator is a doe foot. I don't quite like the packaging as I feel it makes it really hard to get the product out. Also as the bottom half is hard I feel like I am never going to be able to get all of the product out. You need to wiggle the wand part around in the tube to get a decent amount of product. It is an expensive product so I feel like this is a deal breaker, what is the point of paying so much when you don't get to use all of the product. I thought that that was why Urban Decay changed their packaging, I thought NARS might learn by that.
The product itself is a thin-ish white cream. Once you get it out it is easy to apply on the lid. It doesn't have a strong scent at all. I do like that it goes on clear, that means it will suit any skin tone. It has the primer-y feel, like silicone as you rub it on your skin. You have to make sure you do quite a thin layer as the times that I have put this on a wee bit thick it creases a bit itself.
I feel like this does the job of keeping eyeshadow on for a long time without creasing on me, however I don't have particularly oily eyelids so it isn't a big deal (although eyeshadows don't stay all day without primer). But because of the packaging I won't repurchase this. Plus I would like to try cheaper eyeshadow primers first.
