I've used Revlon Colorstay on and off for a while now and I think for the price your getting a reasonable deal. It has a great colour selection and is super cheap! I do find though that when applying it goes very streaky as in you can see the brush lines and sometimes would be slightly patchy on my skin. Also once your face has any shine to it, it does wipe off quite easily. If I found myself unable to afford my double wear I would buy this again but probably wouldn't choose to. Medium coverage to buildable but can look cakey. Also made me sneeze every time I used it hahah.

Tips: Have a clean brush to buff it out once you've applied to get rid of brush strokes!
I have used Revlon Colorstay Combo/oily foundation for about 6 months now. I find this foundation easy to blend (referred method being beauty blender). I have found the shade range a little limited but have been able to easy find shades when needed (pale, fake tanning, summer tan). The foundation lasts a full day with primer and does not sink into pores or break down. Revlon colorstay has been my go-to foundation for everyday. I make sure to buy the foundation with a pump!
Tips: Damp beauty blender for easy blendability Set with powder for extra matte finish
This foundation has two packaging, the one with the pump and the one without. It's easy to use because of its new packaging(with pump). I used to have the old one without a pump(yes! thats how long i've been using this product).
This product doesn't actually stay for 24hours. This is long wearing but not to the extent that it stays for a whole day and night. I can say that this product stays on my face for about 10 hours or so. That's why I like it because I hate retouching my makeup whenever I go out.
It's a perfect formula for those who have combination skin type like me, I am actually not sure with those people who have oily skin.
For the price, I really think that it's worth my money because it's really affordable and I don't have to put a primer whenever I use it. Yes! That's how intact the formula is.
I got this product on sale at my local chemist about 3 years ago and I swear by it! the coverage is amazing and it sits SO nicely on the skin. The formula is fantastic, very lightweight and not cakey. It has amazing coverage with just a thin layer but can easily be built up. As a very very pale girl, it's hard to find a pale foundation that doesn't oxidize and this foundation doesn't. The staying power of this foundation is very good, not 24hrs but more like 15hrs.
Tips: there is no pump so be careful when pouring out the product!
I picked this bottle up in Splashstore sale. I couldn't resist the 70 % off too good to pass. I love foundations and I'm still hunting for my perfect full coverage foundation.
The bottle of this foundation is pretty average crew top lid. I prefer pumps as it's easier to manage the amount of foundation coming out. The consistency of this liquid is smooth . I can't remember what shade I chose at the time. I know it was a dupe for Mac NC40.
With application I find it easy to spread out across my skin. I have a lot of spots and pigmentation to hide. This did nothing to hide. It faded within an hour of wear. I even put two different primers on at the same time to layer it still no good. I've almost finished the bottle results the same.
I'm glad I got to give this foundation a try at an affordable price. I think drugstore make up is too expensive in new zealand. I still haven't found a good one yet. Ive spent heaps now trying to get an affordable drugstore foundation . I'm definately going to save up for a high end foundation.
This light way formula is beautiful when on the skin. Awesome coverage but light enough on the skin without looking cakey. It gives your skin enough room to breathe.
Applied to the skin with a mock beauty blender it was easy to blend out and not to hard to get an even look across my face. My noticeable blemishes hidden and a nice dwey look to my face was given. A flawless finish.
I don't like a dwey finish with my foundation so set it with a finishing powder which worked amazingly. It didn't transfer and it didn't shift for quite sometime...but it didn't last the 24hrs as stated.
Wears up to 24hrs is what is stated on the bottle but I can assure you this is not the case. After a day in this foundation it had shifted from my chin and cheeks. Applied at 9am taking it off at 9pm there were noticable patches where the foundation no longer sat. However that is 12 hours of staying power which is pretty amazing! And a foundation I can work with, especially with how affordable it is x
I really loved this Foundation as it has very good coverage. I myself have combination to Oily Skin and i have noticed that this foundation has been separating lately and becomes very dewy on hot days when you sweat more.
Tips: Using a powder over top to ensure you get that Matte finish.
I found this last year in the local chemist. I asked the retail assistant for her advice on a good coverage foundation for combination skin. I wanted something light weight but still able to hide all my imperfections whilst still looking natural. After noting all my desires she quickly pointed me in the direction of Revlon Colour-Stay. She gave me a small pot of three colours to use so I could find the perfect or closest match. I ended up going with medium beige. After trying them all I found that I have been using a shade or two lighter in every foundation which is why people comment that I look pale. Ah-ha moment!
The price at first made me hold my breath when I swiped my card but it was what I had to do to get my much needed foundation. The bottle is a little less pretty than I am used to with my foundations. But as they say you can't judge a book by its cover. It's what is on the inside that counts. It is cylindrical and simple yet chic.
The foundation itself is very smooth and creamy. It comes out of the pump bottle very easily, with no clogging. I use a brush to apply to my face in dabs then use my beauty blender to give it a flawless look and no streaks.
The foundation blends almost effortlessly. I find that I use far less product than most other foundations because a small bit goes along way. Especially when using a blender. The coverage is exactly as promised. It is medium to full which is what I was after. The best part is it feels as though I have no makeup on, it's just that lightweight.
The true test will be if it lasts a full day in summer when I am walking around and sweating alot. I am pleasantly surprised by just how longwearing this foundation is. Although it has some wear, especially on my cheeks and forehead; it is for the most part in tact. I am impressed. Who knew a brand like Revlon could outlast other higher end brands like this and give better coverage to boot. The combination type foundation is perfect for my dry and oily patches skin. It doesn't make me look like an oil slick but still gives me a glow so my dry parts don't stick out. Gimmie moooore!
Tips: Use a primer to give it a flawless base
I actually really love this foundation! I've gone through two bottles and will definitely go back for more.. it goes on smoothly and stays all day! I've used both the combination/oily and also the dry skin foundations.. and they are both really good! The only thing I am kind of annoyed about was that the colour variations.. there wasn't very many colour options to begin with, and when I went back to get the same colour (but in the combination/oily kind) it was a lot darker than the one I was using previously (dry)... so all I would say is to make sure you try before you buy! Other than that... this foundation is definitely one of my favourites!!
Tips: Always try before you buy!!
I use Revlon colourstay foundation in oily/ combination medium beige. This is my go to foundation as it is suitable for my skin tone (olive) and the hue of many foundations are often to orange for me. It has good coverage, especially when matched with the Revlon concealer and a flawless finish when blended properly. Works best when finished with Revlon powder to set the foundation as it can be a bit oily if you don't set it. I also have sensitive skin and a lot of foundations will often give me blemishes but this doesn't as I think it is oil free (don't quote me on that) but I do also use a silicone barrier cream as well.
Tips: I have found blending of the foundation works best with fingers (not a sponge) and you don't need much of this, if you use to much the makeup can look over done.
