There has been a lot of hype surrounding this product. It was recommended to me as I was looking for a matte-finish setting powder that was translucent and wouldn't darken or lighten the look of my foundation. I bought this product in 'transparent' and it certainly is transparent, but it doesn't really do much. It reduces shine, but only slightly, and doesn't help makeup stay put, it just kind of disappears into my face. I don't think I will repurchase this product, but it is very affordable so its a decent product for someone on a low budget.

Tips: This product needs to be reapplied throughout the day as it doesn't keep shine at bay for very long, especially if you have oily skin. So carry it with you in your handbag, along with a large fluffy or kabuki brush.
The first thing I noticed about this powder is that it goes on super smooth, and randomly smells quite nice too. It spread evenly and easily with my powder brush. It looks great when I first apply it over my foundation, (which is sometimes liquid other times mineral foundation). Very matte and smooth looking. I have oily skin and this product didn't keep shine at bay during the day. By around lunchtime my nose and forehead are shiny again, and that's not even on a really hot day. I'm not a big fan of having to apply more powder through out the day as it can build up look cakey so unfortunately this doesn't cut it for me.
Tips: Could be better suited to normal/dry skin type perhaps?
Now that i brought it i will use it up but its nothing amazing for me. There was so much hype all over youtube about it so i purchased it. I got it in translucent and as long as i dont use heaps it works as a setting powder. I found it doesnt make me super matte. It does for maybe the first 4hours then after that you can see my shinny skin coming through. But i guess for the price its good. But i definatly have other powders that i prefer over this. I dont think i would re [purchase it
Tips: use lightly with a big fluffy powder brush
I had heard the hype all about this product so purchased one from ASOS in Transparent. I use it all over my face with a powder brush after applying my foundation to set it.
It definitely doesn't keep my skin Matte all day. After a few hours my T-zone starts to look a bit shiny. I do like how it basically blends into the skin so it doesn't look powdery and it does smell nice but I prefer my MAC studio fix over this I think. It is a good drugstore powder if you don't want to spend a lot and just want to set your foundation. Would probably suit people with more drier/non oily skin types.
The only thing I really dislike is the packaging- it feels cheap and cracks quite easily and I wouldn't trust carrying it around in my bag all day.
Tips: You do need to top up the powder during the day to keep away the shine.
I have been a powder girl for my whole makeup life as I love the matte look, and this one was highly recommended. I first used peach glow but am now in love with transparent. Peach glow is slightly warmer but transparent goes with everything. These powders last a long time and are light and good coverage. However, I have recently tried another powder (Bourjois healthy mix) and have found it keeps me "staying matte" a lot longer than the Rimmel stay matte. The clear lid on the stay matte isn't completely reliable either, so I prefer to use it at home rather than taking it out and about.
Tips: Beautyjoint.com and Asos sell it for about $8! Half the price of Farmers!
I really thought at first this product worked well on my acne prone oily skin but recently I have noticed this product is one of those "it works well first then stops working". I found this product very easy to use, however it crumbles easily with a brush and goes all over the place, the product does not distribute evenly on the brush and when applied. The mattyfying effect only last for about an hour then my oily t-zone starts to shine. The product when applied on my skin appears to be cakey, quite opaque meaning it covers well but still makes it look cakey. This product does not have a distinguished smell. I found this product hard to blend.
It looks great when it first goes on and it is a good powder but it doesnt keep me matte for long as it fades in a few hours. Still a nice product though and I still use it for more natural days!
Perhaps it was just me, but I found this product to be a little average. Maybe I wasn't using the correct brush, I'm not sure but it went on and boy was it obvious! It settled and flaked in all the drier areas on my face (nose, forehead, corner of lips) and the other areas looked semi-okay but still obvious (not what you want from a product like this). Would probably be a lot better on someone with more oily skin and a decent brush.
Tips: Thumbs down if you have dry skin.
This powder is alright. It only keeps my extremely oily skin matte for about an hour and a half. If you don't have very, very oily skin, this may work better for you. It doesn't keep me matte for as long as id like but I am yet to find better.
I trialed this powder for a month, hoping that it would live up to the hype, but it really didn't.
It didn't keep me any matte-er than a normal powder would, and with the bulky packaging it isn't travel friendly as I'm scared that it will break in my handbag! I bought the transparent shade, and it has a hint of colour that I was not expecting.
This is very affordable, but it's really just a standard powder.
